We met with Dan Gervais the year before we actually listed our house for sale. We have bought and sold several houses over many years, so we have a lot of experience with what can go wrong. We interviewed a few people, but Dan impressed us with his level of experience and his positive frame of mind. We knew this could be a tricky process, because this was the first time we would be selling a house using a 1031 exchange. Dan was very familiar with the process, and as it turned out he is a trainer for other realtors in the many complexities of buying and selling homes. We weren't sure as to when we would list, and he was patient with us during this time. He kept us informed as to the septic requirements with Title 5, and he helped to oversee the entire process of upgrading our system several months before we put the house on the market. We relied on him to meet with the inspectors and the workers, as we live out of state. When we decided to list this spring, he and Darci were thorough in every detail. The house was priced appropriately, the better than full price offer arrived within a day of the first open house, and the closing went seamlessly. Dan connected us with a great lawyer who handled the closing and the details of the 1031. He connected us with our movers, who were excellent, and Darci helped iron out last minute problems occurring when the buyer wanted some additional things removed from the house. Dan and Darci are top rate, hard working people who know and have connections with other top rate people. We could not have been more pleased. On top of that, we feel as if we have made friends and hope to see them in the future. They are really nice people who are wonderful to be around. We highly recommend them to everyone.
