Gille's Handyman Inc. is a small handyman operation in Everett run by Gilliard Silva — the "Gil" who turns up in nearly every review. The work is the specific, everyday stuff homeowners put off: a leaking faucet swapped out, two light fixtures hung, a portable AC sealed into a window, an awning reattached to a second-floor deck. Thumbtack lists him at $75/hour with a two-hour minimum, and the company says it has been at this for several years. The rating is the same wherever you look — 5.0 on Google, Thumbtack, and Angi — and Thumbtack alone carries 21 of them. What recent customers keep circling back to isn't one trade but a way of working: he diagnoses before quoting, shows up when he says he will, and looks for ways to keep the cost down, one reviewer crediting him for using wood she already had on hand. Attention to detail comes up more than once, down to touching up ceiling paint before mounting a new fixture. A few things are worth confirming yourself. The "licensed & insured" line is his own — no license number is posted anywhere, so ask to see it before handing over a larger job. The Thumbtack Top Pro and Angi "Approved" marks are platform screening badges, not independent credentials. And while the reviews run uniformly positive, the history is still young and modest in volume, leaning heavily on a single platform. For odd jobs, repairs, and small installations around Everett, the recent run of work is specific and clean enough to call with some confidence. For the kitchen or bathroom remodeling the website advertises — which the reviews don't yet bear out — get the license number and a written scope in hand first.

The awning on my 2nd floor deck needed reattachment to the house, old cover removed and new awning material installed. Gil worked very hard and steady and did a great job at reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Very professional and the quality of his work was superb. Appreciated that he helped keep costs down by using wood I already had on hand. Very satisfied and would hire again.

Outstanding service from start to finish. Responded quickly, arrived exactly on time, installed my portable AC perfectly. Clean, professional, took time to make sure everything was sealed correctly. Honest, respectful, fair pricing. Highly recommend for AC installation or handyman services.
