Fifty-one years, one family name, and a licence the state registry still shows active. Giombetti Electric works out of 401 South Street in Marlborough, and the company says it started in 1975 when Donald A. Giombetti went out with a single van and a home office, incorporating in 1982. After his death in December 2023 his oldest son Michael took over as president; the firm describes itself as family-owned and family-run. Its Massachusetts electrical business licence is active, verified against the state registry in the company's own name. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade — though the company is not BBB accredited — with no complaints and no government actions published, and BBB puts the payroll at 25 people against a file opened in 1975. The written record is short for a shop that size: 4.3 stars across 14 Google ratings, and six reviews with text running 2022 to 2025. What comes through in them is the crew, not the company. A May 2025 reviewer wrote that the electricians arrived on time, worked safely and cleaned up any messes they made, keeping them posted on problems as they went. In April 2025 another described Sean and an apprentice hanging new lights and adding outlets — "professional, efficient, tidy." A July 2024 review thanked two electricians who spent a full day on a home's electrical system during a heat wave. The exception is specific and worth raising. A May 2024 one-star review said a technician named Alec and his team left trash, wire, plastic and dirt behind in a clean apartment and locked themselves out after being handed keys; the customer added that what followed was apologies rather than a return visit. Ask up front who will be on your job and what cleanup at the end of the day looks like. Two other things to pin down. The company lists New Hampshire and Maine licence numbers on its own site, and those are its claim, not something checked against either state's registry. And this is not a purely residential shop — alongside a residential division it sells commercial and industrial work, fire alarm systems, telecom and data cabling, generators and EV chargers, and states an AMP authorization for COPALUM crimping, the aluminum-wiring repair few electricians are certified to perform. For a homeowner with old aluminum branch wiring, a whole-house generator, or a panel-and-EV-charger job who wants a long-established, state-licensed outfit, this is a reasonable call. Confirm the crew and the cleanup expectation before they start.

Arrived on time, Great guys they took care of everything quickly and expertly. They worked safely and cleaned any messes that were made . Kept us informed of any issues. I recommend them.
Great experience: Sean and his apprentice installed a few new lights and added some new outlets. They were professional, efficient, tidy, and everything looks and works great. Happy to recommend!
I had two of the greatest guy’s working on our electrical system in the heat wave. They were here all day. I just wanted to give them a shout out for a job well done. If you’re in need of services please call Giombetti of Marlborough Ma. Thanks again Glori and Jay Hudson Ma.
Technician Alec and team made a mess of my clean apartment and didn't clean anything up. They left trash, wires, plastic, dirt, and anything else they didn't care to clean up. They also managed to lock themselves out after I left them keys. These guys are a joke. Would not refer to anyone. Thank you for your response. Unfortunately that's a lie and no cleanup or return services were offered. Why would I decline such services? All that was offered was apologies and admittance of guilt. Blaming me for something you did wrong is extremely unprofessional and sad.
Great company. Great work!
