A tree branch ripped the power line off an elderly homeowner's house, and in a July 2026 review his family wrote that VMA Electric had it repaired, reinstalled, inspected and the power back on in hours. Emergencies like that sit at one end of what this Marlborough shop does; at the other are 200-amp service upgrades, generators, EV chargers and the wiring packages on new construction. The company says Victor Archila, a Master Electrician, founded it in 2008 and has served MetroWest since — Marlborough out through Sudbury, Concord, Framingham, Natick and Wellesley — with a lifetime labor warranty behind the work. A Massachusetts electrician licence, number 20994, is active on the state registry under Victor M. Archila's name, and the company is BBB-accredited with an A+ grade. On Google the average is 4.9 across 169 ratings, and the written accounts run back to 2016. Speed is what customers keep describing — more than a dozen of them mention how fast the company answered or arrived. A March 2026 customer went from call to service to a closed permit on a 100-to-200-amp upgrade and called it an easy, quick process; another that month listed new circuitry at a junction box, a garage-door circuit and multiple GFIs and smoke and CO detectors, and called the pricing reasonable. In a September 2025 review, a homeowner whose roofer's electrician cancelled the night before wrote that VMA showed up the next morning. People come back. A March 2026 reviewer counted four separate jobs; another has used the company for house projects and a generator; a 2016 Houzz reviewer described hiring them again at every stage of a six-year renovation. Reviewers also name the people who show up — Ryan, Greg, Jake and Adam — and a March 2026 customer credited Cindy in the office with keeping scheduling easy. Two accounts run the other way, and both are worth knowing. In a June 2026 Angi review, a customer wrote that VMA was there two hours, could not identify the issue, charged $400 and said they would schedule a return that never came; a second company found the fault in under fifteen minutes. Where it pays to be careful is diagnostic work: settle up front what a troubleshooting visit costs and what happens if the fault is not found that day, and ask what the advertised lifetime labor warranty covers on your particular job.
