From patterned wallpaper to exterior paint and deck staining, Gold Painting's customers describe work on both rooms and the outside of their homes. The Millbury company calls itself a local family firm with more than 25 years of experience. It advertises residential and commercial painting, carpentry and home maintenance across New England, naming Worcester, Framingham, Cambridge and other Massachusetts towns in its service area. An April 2026 customer describes Alex lining up a complicated wallpaper pattern in a bedroom, preparing and pasting the paper, and leaving the room clean after painting. Another April customer, who had the whole interior painted, says the crew protected wood floors and kitchen cabinetry and promptly addressed touch-up areas. A July reviewer describes sanding and staining an entire deck; another says Gold completed an epoxy coating on a two-car garage floor and painted two bathrooms. Office communication earns specific praise. In August, a customer says Milena and the crew were easy to reach, kept notes of their conversations and finished on time. A July customer praises Bruno's involvement throughout a project and Milena's help with coordination. Customers also describe carpentry alongside painting: an August Angi reviewer reports a second-floor porch repair, and a July Google reviewer says an exterior makeover included carpentry repairs. A May 2026 customer reports a much more difficult experience. They say a quoted ceiling project—removing popcorn texture, replastering and painting—was left incomplete, the crew missed a promised second day and then a rescheduled visit, and Alex threatened a lien during a disagreement about payment. The customer says the job was closed out with $600 off. In an update, they say Milena apologized and offered to finish the remaining work free of charge. The customer declined; Milena then offered a 50% refund. A July 2025 reviewer describes mostly good interior painting but rough edges and difficulty getting clear updates. Earlier Angi reviews also raised concerns: a May 2014 customer reported window-sealing and downspout issues, peeling paint and dissatisfaction with the warranty response; a November 2013 account reported cracking, smudges and unanswered follow-up. Conversely, a March 2024 customer said the crew returned promptly to address items noticed after payment. Gold Painting's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. BBB gives it an A+ grade, and Google reports 4.9 stars from 50 ratings.
