Good Woods Forestry Mulching is Scott Goodwin's land-clearing business, built around a mulching machine. A Harpswell Anchor article describes Goodwin as a Cundy's Harbor resident and home inspector who started the business in 2024 to fill a niche for landowners and road associations. A 2025 customer said Scott Goodwin and his mulching machine removed 30 years of invasive multiflora and bittersweet bushes that had overtaken the border of the property. That same 2025 customer said he also cleared a drainage ditch beside the road and was fair in pricing. A 2025 customer described brush, branch and log piles 6 to 7 feet tall and a hundred feet long, which Scott knocked down to about ten inches over the rest of the day. In that 2025 review, the customer said Scott gave a quote a few minutes after seeing the job and arrived when he said he would. A 2025 customer said Scott removed bittersweet, cut back overgrowth, trimmed and mulched, and stuck to his time schedule. A 2026 customer said Scott clearly explained cost, schedule and expectations and was careful around trees and outbuildings.

Scott is great. Clearly explains cost, schedule and expectations. Clean job, careful around trees and outbuildings. Did in a day what would have taken me years.
We needed to get complicated work done on our property. Scott removed bittersweet, cut back overgrowth, trimmed and mulched his work and left our property cleaned up and looking above and beyond what we expected. He was professional in his work and cleanup. He stuck to his time schedule. We fully appreciate his work and efforts, and look forward to having him back again. Martin and Frances Nankin
Scott and his service are awesome. He went above and beyond to meet our needs. If you’re looking for sustainable land clearing at a fair price, this company is for you.
Scott Goodwin and his nimble mulching machine carefully removed 30 years of invasive multi flora and bittersweet bushes that had overtaken the border to my property. He was prompt, careful to explain what he could do, and fair in pricing. He also cleared a drainage ditch beside my road. I appreciate Scott’s work and motivation to conquer the impossible brambles that overwhelmed me in my yard work.
I had 8 years of brush, branches, limbs and logs piled up on my property in multiple areas and it was becoming a haven for all kinds of living things. The piles were 6 & 7 feet tall 20 feet wide and a hundred feet long. Scott was quick to respond, came out to take a look, while onsite he gave me a reasonable quote a few minutes after seeing the job. Thereafter he was quick to get me on his schedule. He told me when he was going to arrive. He was timely about arrival. In the morning he took a few minutes to explain his equipment and then over the rest of the day, he used his skills and awesome machine to knock the pile down from 6 to 7 feet to about ten inches...and it looks great! I like people who say what they're going to do, and do what they say. He did just that: and at a fair price. Highly recommended & FIVE Stars!
