Green Energy Mechanical is a large Canton HVAC-and-plumbing outfit — 776 Google ratings averaging 4.6★, a state-verified active HVAC license and a state-verified active plumbing license behind its master plumber, Khalil. The volume of work here is substantial: installs, boiler and water-heater work, ductwork, and full HVAC system replacements running into the tens of thousands of dollars, alongside routine repairs and maintenance contracts. Most reviews describe technicians who explain what they're doing before doing it. Khalil in particular is named repeatedly for walking customers through diagnostics on plumbing calls; on the HVAC side, reviewers describe crews like Irvin Andrade's team and Wai and Vendrek's duct-and-insulation work as careful and thorough, and a 2026 emergency AC call got a technician to the house within about an hour. There's also a real, recurring pattern of serious complaints worth weighing carefully. Two separate reviews — one from December 2025 and one from February 2026 — describe a technician leaving an active gas leak or an unresolved shutoff-valve fault after a repair; the December incident required the fire department to shut off gas and electric at the property. Several 2026 reviews describe pricing that changed sharply after the fact: one customer was quoted a $49 diagnostic and charged $495, another described being upsold unnecessary products, and a January 2026 review said two technicians spent five hours unable to diagnose a heating fault before quoting a $16,000–$32,000 system replacement — a second opinion fixed it with a $100 part. A 2026 review described a $45,000 project followed by no further contact and ductwork that had to be redone for airflow problems, and a 2025 review said the company disconnected AC power while servicing a furnace, then recommended replacing the AC unit that a second company found was simply unpowered. Reviews on Google and Best Pick Reports stay mostly positive by volume — the last six months alone brought 112 reviews, most of them favorable — and the licenses back up the work. But the gas-safety incidents in particular are worth asking about directly: what happens if something goes wrong mid-repair, and how a job gets priced before work starts. Get a written diagnostic-fee ceiling and a second opinion before signing off on a full-system replacement.
“I got a quote once from Green Energy. They came in high, kept pinging me every day, then matched the substantially lower price I got without hesitation. I of course didn't go with them - they knew they were high.”

Khalil most wonderful tech I've met. Walked me through everything,.most knowledgeable and very pleasant to work. Need a plumber he's your man.
Khalil was very helpful in explaining the issues that we’re going on. He seems very honest and knowledgeable. No work done yet but he gave good estimate and advice.
When I scheduled the appointment I was told that diagnostic charge would be $49. Once technician arrived and did some diagnostic, I was told, I need advanced diagnostic and it would cost $495. It is 10 times more then what was agreed. I have not received diagnostic report even after paying all that. I am very disappointed.
Service quality has been poor. Constantly trying to upsell unnecessary products or services.
