There are two Green Energys in these reviews. Book a service call and you get Khalil, Mohamed, Byron, Joel or James — technicians named again and again through July 2026 for arriving quickly, explaining the fault and finishing it. One April 2026 caller had an AC technician at the house within about an hour. Another that month reached the on-call tech through the answering service the same evening, after a nine-year-old air handler stopped circulating cool air. In July 2026 Khalil arrived early to look at a cracked sewer pipe and got recommended by name. Hand them a large installation and the story changes. In April 2026 a customer described a $45,000 job where ductwork was removed improperly, caused airflow and sealing problems that needed a callback to redo, and said the company went quiet after payment. In May 2026 another customer waited two months for a part after being told days, found the main phone number returning a disconnected message, then watched a crew turn up with no knowledge of the work order, cut apart the PVC exhaust pipe, beat the old component with channel locks trying to free it, and finally produce a part labelled intake rather than exhaust. The system was left in pieces and the mess uncleaned. Two further accounts are worth reading before you book. In December 2025 a customer said a technician broke a gas shutoff valve during a repair, could not shut the gas off at the meter, and left with an active leak — the fire department shut down gas and electricity. In late January 2026, a household with two small children, one autistic, and two floors dropping toward 60 degrees in ten-degree weather, said the appointment was cancelled outright after the technician could not find parking. Money is the other steady thread. A July 2026 caller was quoted $49 for diagnostics and then told an advanced diagnostic would run $495. A July 2026 four-star reviewer liked their technician but marked the company down for upselling; another that same week called it constant. On Reddit in 2024, a commenter said the quote came in high, that they were contacted daily, and that the company then matched a substantially lower competing price without hesitation. The numbers: Google averages 4.6 across 776 ratings, Best Pick Reports 4.6 across 451, HomeAdvisor 4.7 across 83, Angi 4.6 across 19. Its Massachusetts HVAC licence is active, and the BBB accredited the company in July 2026 with an A+. Seventy-two reviews landed in the last six months, seven of them negative. Call them for a repair, a maintenance visit or a fast water-heater swap, and ask for a named technician. For a system replacement, get the scope, equipment list, payment schedule and diagnostic fee in writing, hold something back until completion, and price it against at least two other quotes.

I got a quote once from Green Energy. They came in high, kept pinging me every day, then matched the substantially lower price I got without hesitation. I of course didn't go with them - they knew they were high.

Khalil was very helpful in explaining the issues that we’re going on. He seems very honest and knowledgeable. No work done yet but he gave good estimate and advice.

When I scheduled the appointment I was told that diagnostic charge would be $49. Once technician arrived and did some diagnostic, I was told, I need advanced diagnostic and it would cost $495. It is 10 times more then what was agreed. I have not received diagnostic report even after paying all that. I am very disappointed.

Service quality has been poor. Constantly trying to upsell unnecessary products or services.
