Groundhog Landscaping Inc. lists lawn and shrub care, weekly lawn mowing, bark mulching, spring and fall cleanups, irrigation maintenance, lawn renovation, snow and ice management, and tick and mosquito spraying on its website. It names a service area of Derry, Salem, Manchester, Nashua, Concord, Milford, Chester, Londonderry and Bedford. In a recent Google review, a customer says Todd came out to look at the property and offered ideas, Amanda in the office helped get the contract started, Chris kept them updated throughout the project, and Kyle and Tim handled the hydroseeding and cleaned up the areas with overspray. A recent review says Matthew O. went over all the details to make the customer's lawn top notch and saved them a ton of time. In a 2025 review, a customer said the company brought in 18 truckloads of loam and fill to level the property, installed an irrigation system and created a stone patio. A recent review says a Groundhog Landscaping snowplower hired by the board at Cross Farm Londonderry damaged the reviewer's driveway in December 2025, that the driveway had still not been redone eight months later, and that a scheduled July 13 date was a no show. Another recent review, from a condo association, says a clearly marked 6-foot Red Maple was damaged during snow removal and that after six months of waiting the replacement tree was significantly smaller, appeared improperly planted and had a broken support stake; that reviewer also says large areas of grass the company maintains at the association are brown and dead.
December, 2025 > 8 months ago a Groundhog Landscaping snowplower, hired by the board of directors at Cross Farm Londonderry, property mantained by Briggs, caused significant damage to the driveway of our property, which is only 4 years old. I was told at the time that asphalt companies were closed until March or April. So be it. It is now July 20th! For 8 months we have been given the roundaround by the board, the property management company, and more importantly - the vendor who is responsible for the driveway to be completely redone to community standards - Groundhog Landscaping. Just recently, we were given a schedule date of July 13 - with that being a no show, with no word as to why, no further date scheduled. Our driveway being left as it is, has caused the market value to be signicantly and adversly affected! If the driveway is not replaced to community standards within 72 hours, I will be let with no other choice but to contact an attorney!
After six months of waiting for GH to replace a tree they damaged during snow removal at our condo association, this is the result. The original tree was a 6-foot Red Maple that had been clearly marked to prevent damage. The replacement tree is significantly smaller, appears to be improperly planted, and cannot withstand even a light breeze without bending over. To make matters worse, the bamboo support stake is already broken, leaving the tree with no stability or support. Unfortunately, the poor workmanship isn't limited to the tree replacement. GH is also responsible for maintaining the landscaping at our association, and the condition of the surrounding grass speaks for itself—large areas are brown and dead. After months of delays, we expected a professional replacement that would restore what was damaged. Instead, we were left with a poorly planted tree and landscaping that reflects a lack of care and attention. Very disappointing experience.
We had an excellent experience with Groundhog Landscaping from start to finish. Todd came out to look at our property and gave us several great ideas that we never would have thought of ourselves. After that, I worked with Amanda in the office, and she was nothing but amazing and helpful while getting our contract started. Next, we met Chris, who I believe runs the crew. He kept us updated throughout the entire project, always communicated what was happening and when, and was consistently the first person on-site whenever a new phase of the project began. Finally, Kyle and Tim handled the hydroseeding, and they were incredibly kind and professional. They took extra time and care to make sure all areas with overspray were thoroughly cleaned up. Groundhog is an amazing landscaping company, and we are so grateful for their hard work, communication, and attention to detail. We highly recommend them!
The customer technician (Matthew O.) was absolutely fantastic. He went over all the details to make may lawn top notch. The service was very precise and worked wonderfully. He saved me a ton of time. I would highly recommend Groundhog lawn service to anyone who cares about their lawn.
I can’t say enough great things about Groundhog Landscaping and Groundhog Turf Care! Our yard was nothing but an eyesore with bare dirt and patchy spots. Todd, Scott, Nick and the entire team were professional and truly listened to what we wanted. They turned this into a lush, beautiful lawn that looks like it came out of a magazine. They brought in 18 truckloads of high quality loam and fill leveling our property making the entire yard easier to use and enjoy. They also installed an irrigation system which has made the world of difference and extremely easy to control. Nick and Mike at the Turf Care division did an amazing job taking care of the lawn preparing it for our daughter’s wedding. We can’t tell you how many compliments we received about how green and beautiful it is. Groundhog also ran with our vision and created a stone patio which is now the perfect extension of our home and the ideal spot for relaxing and entertaining. If you’re considering a landscaping company, do yourself a favor and call Groundhog Landscaping. Their expertise and dedication will leave you with a yard you’ll be proud to show off. Five stars all the way!
