We hired Stephen Perrault for a project that cost approximately $19,000. While the crew members who performed the work were pleasant and did a good job, we were very disappointed with several aspects of the overall experience. We went out of our way to clear the end of our driveway so that the materials and dumpster could be placed there. Instead, almost our entire driveway was used, even though we have a long driveway. The stairway was also blocked initially. This was a major problem for us because I have recently had four surgeries on my ankle and currently have very limited mobility. My husband explained my situation to Stephen, but we were told there was nothing that could be done. We feel that, given the circumstances, more consideration should have been given to our situation. We were also extremely disappointed with the siding. Our home has gray siding, but white siding was installed in an area that should have matched. We were told the workers did not want to drive to Home Depot to get the correct color. We later found out that the correct piece cost approximately $10. My husband actually went to Home Depot himself and purchased a piece, but unfortunately one piece was not enough. We are now left with white siding on our gray house. Another concern was the amount of unused material left at the end of the project. When we questioned this, we were told that contractors have to order extra material in case they need it. We understand the need for some extra materials, but when a customer has paid approximately $19,000, we don’t feel it is unreasonable to expect consideration for a substantial amount of material that was not used and can potentially be used on another job. Our biggest disappointment was not necessarily the work performed by the crew, but the lack of consideration for our circumstances and the way our concerns were handled. We believe that a contractor should not only do quality work but should also communicate with the homeowner, listen to legitimate concerns, and make reasonable efforts to address them. We paid our bill in full, but based on our overall experience, we cannot give this contractor a five-star review. We would encourage anyone considering hiring this contractor to make sure they clearly discuss where materials and dumpsters will be placed, confirm that all materials will match before installation, and clarify how unused materials will be handled . In the owners reply, he was totally lying. We did not have the original quoted price. He charged us $1000 for the extra work. He had to complete on the deck and as he admitted himself, he should’ve had the dumpster delivered first, and then the other deliveries, there was plenty of room in the backyard to place the other deliveries as we said, my husband went down and bought a piece of siding for $10 which matched our siding they could’ve done that also we were. We hired him for finished work and that’s not what he did.

Perfect from estimate through execution and cleanup. We'll definitely hire them again for future projects. Professional, friendly, responsive, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The deck replacement was completed faster than expected, and the quality exceeded our expectations. Our old deck had reached the point where it felt dilapidated and nearly worthless. They transformed it into a true showpiece of our home. We couldn't be happier with the result.

We highly recommend Steven with handyman home repair. . We were looking for someone to put up a gazebo in our backyard along with footings under our paved patio. Steven's Communications were excellent.! He continue too follow through the completion of the job. We will not hesitate to seek out his services again for our next project

My bathroom is beautiful! I am delighted with the look and the updated decor. I had originally only wanted a small fix but Steve convinced me that redoing the whole thing would solve several problems. Indeed it is now the best room in the condo and I am sure will add resale value, which was a consideration. Steve has a crack crew that worked quickly and skillfully and cleaned up spotlessly. In addition Steve has a good eye and sense of proportion and color. I trusted his judgment and glad I did. Finally, the price point was in line with what I wanted to pay. He was upfront with what things would cost and was on-site to be sure things were as we agreed. In sum, this was an excellent experience.
