A water heater repaired instead of replaced is one of Hartford Mechanical’s more detailed customer stories. In February 2025, a homeowner said another company could not find the necessary parts and proposed replacing the tank. Julio located the part, arranged overnight delivery and returned the next day to finish the repair. More recently, September 2026 praise described a prompt water-heater repair, while an August customer said Julio Ramos fixed a water-heater release valve and excessive incoming water pressure. The Glastonbury company handles plumbing and heating work, with customers describing water heaters, sewer lines, drains, fixtures, boilers and furnaces. Google shows a 4.9-star average from 105 ratings. Its Connecticut plumber license PLM.0284718-P1 is active under The Hartford Mechanical Co. Older customers described both urgent repairs and repeat service. In January 2024, a customer said two workers repaired two furnaces the same day so a grandmother receiving comfort care would have heat. Another January 2024 customer described a failed water heater replaced and the area cleaned by 2 p.m. after Julio arrived at 9:30 a.m. A June 2024 reviewer said the company had handled residential plumbing problems many times over several years. In May 2025, a sewer-line customer praised Julio’s explanations and the cleanup after work that another company had been unable to resolve. There are specific complaints, too. A January 2024 customer said Ed and Demar assessed a furnace, with Julio involved by phone, but the company never submitted a promised report to the home-warranty provider. The customer reported more than ten calls over ten days without a response and said another deductible would be necessary to bring in a different contractor. A July 2023 reviewer reported a missed appointment and unanswered follow-up calls. Pricing drew a qualified review in November 2025: the customer found the charge high but said the company arrived when promised, completed the work properly and ultimately delivered value for the price. A December 2023 customer, meanwhile, praised upfront pricing without surprises for leak and slow-drain repairs.
