A roof that was never finished, and materials that blew off it into the neighbors' yards, is the account at the center of HGM Industries' reviews. The Groveland roofing company's Angi and HomeAdvisor pages both list roofing and gutter work, and it holds 3.0 stars from 2 ratings on each. In a June 2025 Angi review, a customer wrote that the first job with the company went well, but the second, a roofing project, was plagued with delays and never completed. After giving up on it, the customer asked for the materials to be taken down off the roof, where they had sat for months; some had blown into nearby yards, and HGM came out to retrieve them. The reviewer said HGM agreed to return the deposit minus $500 but never did. The other review, from September 2022, is a single line: very reliable, prompt, excellent results at a very fair price. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active.
My roofing project was plagued with delays and ultimately it was never completed. My first experience with this company was great and aligned with the other positive reviews you see online, however, the second experience is exactly like the negative reviews you find online. After finally giving up on the job being completed, I asked for the materials to be taken down off my roof, where they had been sitting for months. This was actually the final straw as roofing materials had off my roof and out into the neighborhood. HGM came out to retrieve what had flown into the nearby yards. I requested for my deposit to be returned. HGM said they'd I return my deposit, minus $500, but they never did.
