High Performance Modular Homes is a Williston modular home builder. The company describes itself as a family-owned business that builds custom modular homes, with higher insulation values and radiant barrier house wrap as standard, and its website says it has been in business 10 years. A recent Google customer building on a particularly difficult lot said Karen and her team made sure their family had the perfect home. A recent r/vermont commenter wrote that they had just finished a house with the company in Williston and would recommend them. A 2023 customer said the company handled the design and construction of a vacation home, that the house was completed on time, and that it was ready for occupancy within 6 weeks after module delivery. That 2023 customer also said the home sat beyond the region where the company typically builds, so several contractors were not Karen's usual crew, and some of those costs came in higher than estimates. A 2024 customer said they moved into their home within 6 months of signing the final contract, as promised, and that Karen promptly corrected the few minor issues that arose; that 2024 customer named one downside, that the houses arrive primed but not painted. A 2025 customer said the fixtures were quality brand-name ones rather than the cheap no-name brands usually installed in prefab homes. A 2024 customer said Karen Gagne and her crew finished the interior design of their Main Street location in Newport, Vermont. A 2024 customer reported cracks in the corners, which they were told were "normal settling," and then half-inch gaps between the sheetrock. Its BBB grade is A+.
“I just finished a house with High Performance Modular Homes in Williston, I'd personally recommend them. Karen is great. I'd give her a call and at least have her walk you through options - she worked with us when it was still bare land.”
From the first email through the final piece of the home, Karen and her team were incredible to work with. With a particularly difficult lot, I never felt alone with HPMH on my side. They worked tirelessly and made sure our family had the perfect home. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build, and would not hesitate to use them again. I can't say enough good things. Thank you Karen for making our dream come true.
Very professional and timely. When Karen gives a timeline she follows through.I would recommend HP Modular Homes to anyone looking at Modular’s. The fixtures aren’t the cheap no name brands that are usually installed in prefab home ,they are quality brand name fixtures. The homes are heavily built and the finished work done by Karen and crew is very nice. We are very happy with how the house finished out.
Karen and her team are absolute pleasures to work with. Our time frame kept being pushed back by multiple land issues and she was with us every step of the way. I am so happy that she was there to guide us through this process to getting exactly what we wanted.
Karen Gagne with HPM pulled through with her crew to finish the interior design of our Main Street location in Newport, Vermont. Karen’s professional expertise was on point with our vision for design. They worked fast with a high quality product. We highly recommend High Performance Modular for any project you may have.
Karen and her team did a great job getting me into my new home as quickly as possible. Would recommend for anyone not looking to go through the hassles of traditional onsite stick build construction.
