An 1886 duplex taken back to the studs, a 1940s house gutted and extended, an attached garage with a great room, dining area and kitchen built above it — the projects customers describe hiring Highline Construction for are the ones that rearrange a house rather than freshen it. A homeowner writing in October 2025 about the duplex said Nick and his crew treated the building's original character as part of the brief, not an obstacle. Nick Vercollone founded the company in 2010 after years as a carpenter and project manager on luxury homes, and it is run with his wife Niki, who has handled operations full time since 2019. They work out of Burlington across MetroWest and toward the North Shore — Lexington, Concord, Winchester, Bedford, Belmont, Weston and Marblehead among the towns they name — on custom homes, additions, renovations, historic restoration and custom carpentry. The company says it is LEED AP certified. Boston Real Estate Times reported in 2024 that the company bought its Middlesex Turnpike building for $1.82 million. Schedules and communication are what customers single out. A homeowner who gutted a 1940s home and added onto it in September 2025 said the promised timeline held; an interior designer working alongside the crew that same month described them as responsive and easy to have on site with her client; and a December 2025 customer whose water heater burst and flooded the basement said the renovation that followed was handled start to finish while the household was still reeling. The recognition is industry-side too: a New England trade association's 2025 write-up named Highline its most-awarded member that year, with four Gold and two Silver PRO awards, and an engineering firm's 2025 project page credits the company on a Scandinavian-style new build with architect Allison Crandall. One practical note: the written customer history is short and recent — 13 accounts, the earliest from 2024 — for a company that dates itself to 2010. Ask for references from projects finished three or four years ago as well as recent ones. This is the right call for a whole-house renovation, an addition or a period house that needs careful hands, less so for a one-room touch-up. Settle the allowances, the change-order process and the completion date in the contract before demolition starts.

“Hoang and Sevene put together inspiration images, worked up a potential layout, and hired Nick Vercollone of Highline Construction to make their ideas a reality. “Nick spent hours brainstorming and refining our vision,” Sevene says. “We moved here from California, so we never had a basement before.” ... Builder: Highline Construction, highlineconstruction.net ... Vercollone’s Highline Construction built the 7-by-7-foot barn door leading to the home theater on site and painted it Benjamin Moore Wrought Iron. The owners were surprised how easily it slides, despite its weight. Joel Benjamin”

Look no further than Highline Construction! Niki and and Nick are passionate about their work and their attention to detail is incredible. They are a family owned and operated business who treat their community like family.
We had a hot water heater burst that completely flooded and ruined our basement. From start to finish Highline was outstanding. They were responsive, professional and handled everything efficiently during a very stressful situation. The renovation work was excellent, high quality and the project was completed on time. We truly appreciated their attention to detail and how easy they were to work with throughout the process. Highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable, top-notch construction and renovation work!
After working with Highline for a smaller interior project, we hired Highline to renovate the basement of our historic home and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Highline exceeded our expectations with their high quality of work and attention to detail. They are a smart, talented and dependable team who truly cares about their clients. Five stars!
We worked with Nick and his team on multiple projects, including a gut renovation of a 1886 duplex. From day 1, it was evident that Nick and his team cared about the detail and character of the home, and were committed to quality as well as our preferences for the project scope. Nick guided us through all the decision points with understanding of our priorities and budget, and we are thrilled (4+ years in) with the beauty and lasting quality of the work. We recommend Highline Construction unequivocally.
Nick and Niki Vercollone are highly skilled and talented professionals in every aspect of the design and construction process. As hands on leaders of the Highline Team, they masterfully built an attached garage, with a great room, dining area and kitchen above it. They completely gutted, renovated and transformed my split entry house into an incredibly beautiful “age-in-place” home, which includes built-ins and a dumb waiter. Their expertise, skill and quality craftsmanship are second to none. Every aspect of my home is perfect, lovely, functional and high end quality. They listened, made suggestions and completed a masterpiece, including Landscaping that far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them without reservation! It is no wonder they have won so many awards!
