Hill's Construction is Mike Hill's one-man Harwich operation, and it comes with an unusual kind of reference: in a 2021 r/CapeCod thread about an attic renovation in Brewster, a fellow Cape carpenter who said he'd worked with many of the area's crews wrote that after five years working alongside Michael Hill, "Michael is the only contractor that I would personally want or trust working on my house." A tradesman's endorsement of a competitor is rarer than a five-star review. The business runs under two names. Hill's Construction is the contracting side; Hill's Floors is the flooring brand, whose site offers dustless hardwood sanding, installation, refinishing and repair for the Cape and Islands with free estimates. The company says it has been at it since 1985 — about four decades — and is owner-operated by Mike Hill. There are no customer reviews on any platform, so beyond that one strong word-of-mouth endorsement the public record is thin. A good fit for hardwood floor work or a trusted small-scale contracting job on the mid and lower Cape — ask for recent references and confirm scope in writing, as you would with any one-person shop.
