Holland Remodeling's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 115468, held by Russell Holland, is active on the state registry. On HomeAdvisor, the company lists additions, carpentry, decks, remodels and siding among its services. A 2020 customer said a roofing and wiring repair job was botched: the shingles were different sizes and colors, and they started falling off about 2 days later. The same 2020 customer said a wire behind the wall exploded when they turned on a switch, and that the wiring mixed different kinds of wire, including used wire, fused together with electrical tape. A 2020 customer said additional charges were tacked on after the contract was signed, followed by threats. A 2008 customer on Angi said the work was very good and that extras were done without charging more.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Holland Remodeling. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Estimated range
$23,000 – $35,000
Typical remodeling project around $29,000
Tacked on additional charges after the contract was signed, then makes threats. Unprofessional.
This man is less than credible. He did a roofing and wiring repair job for me and man did he butcher it. He clearly used recycled shingles because they were all different sizes and colors, than about 2 days later my shingles were falling off, I wound up having to have my husband fix them. The wiring job, my lord we almost died. We went to turn on a switch and the wire behind the wall exploded, when we went to look at the wiring we discovered something horrifying. This man used all different kinds of wire, including used wire and wires that didn't match all fused together with electrical tape!! Needless to say we went with someone reliable and russ Holland and his company will be receiving court papers shortly. I have exact write ups of everything he did wrong, we have kids and animals and he could have killed us with shorty wiring and broke person shingles. Thanks for nothing, look for law suit papers.
They actually did a great job. They went above and beyond, did extras for me and did not charge more. They guys work was excellent. I was not there every day and they did very good work.
