A 2024 customer wrote that Dan and the guys had helped with projects from lawn care and snow removal to full gut renovations, from Sheetrock to floors, bathrooms and kitchens. A 2023 customer said they had fixed structural issues in a garage and built two basement offices. A 2025 customer said four windows were installed quickly. A 2025 reviewer said a fence was done in record time, from layout through cleanup, and a 2024 customer said a fence replacing an old rotting one came in exactly at the quoted price. A 2022 customer with an Airbnb in Killington said that after a flood in one unit, Dan had it cleaned up, repaired and running before the next guest checked in. A recent customer said the person who came to evaluate a job showed up late, and that a promised quote never arrived despite several calls over weeks. A recent driver said one of the company's employees, weed-whacking a curb by the Rutland hospital, hit their car with stones, and that they ended up letting their insurance handle the repair. A 2025 reviewer said the company does not respond to emails.

July 27 I assume the owner came to my home and evaluated it for some work needing to be done. He showed up late. Was told that day in 2 days I’ll receive a quote via email. Gave two weeks and gave them a call. Was told “we went on another vacation when I get back to the office I’ll get you the quote”. Never received it. Another two weeks go by and I call again. Was given another excuse and was told I’ll get the quote that afternoon. More time goes by and I call again. This time I was told he lost my email and he asked that I text the number I called with my email address. During this time I made the statement that I was unsure if they wanted to do the work. He reassured me they did. I have yet to receive the quote and it. I would never recommend them to anyone.
I was driving by the Rutland hospital when one of his employees hit my vehicle with several stones as he weed whacked the curb less than 3 feet from cars driving by. The side of my vehicle was hit several times since the light had just turned green and I had cars in front of me as well as behind me. I don't understand why someone would continue to weed whack with active traffic during a busy time of the day? An edging shovel would avoid this situation and it wouldn't have to be done weekly. After speaking with the owner through text messages I thought I had the problem resolved with repairs scheduled more than 3 months in the future but I changed my mind after seeing his company truck driving past my house with whoever was in it pointing directly at my house or the vehicle that was damaged. Why the owner denies someone pointing at my house I have no clue but the picture speaks volumes about this entire situation. I didn't do a single thing wrong I was simply driving by the hospital where his employees were weed whacking so this is not some situation that I created and now I have people driving past my house and pointing at it. I don't know the reason for pointing at it whether it is some attempt at intimidation tactics or someone looking to get revenge? After all of this I decided to let my full coverage insurance deal with it and I filed a police report in case things escalate even though I didn't ask to be part of this entire ordeal. The paint was chipped down to bare metal in several places and dented so not repairing it properly wasn't an option so I guess someone is mad that they damaged my vehicle and the fact that I wanted it repaired? Make that make sense. I decided waiting wasn't a good idea and let my insurance deal with it.
We have been customers of Meticulous Mowing for many years. Our yard receives excellent care, always perfectly mowed and trimmed and the excess grass blown off walkways. They are very considerate when we’ve had drought conditions and the lawn is fried, and also when it’s super long from a lot of rain. On a personal note Dan and his crews are so polite and responsive when I have questions. They always take my pets into consideration. They are punctual and efficient. Hire these people!! You won’t be disappointed!
We would happily recommend Meticulous Mowing and Property Management to anyone considering landscaping or masonry services. The crew was very professional, hardworking and personable. We are thrilled with our new walkway and look forward to working with Meticulous again on future projects.
