Independent Marble & Granite

Independent Marble & Granite is a Merrimack, New Hampshire stone fabricator that, in its own words, templates, cuts, edges, polishes and installs granite and quartz countertops for homeowners and kitchen dealers. Its BBB profile lists it as a partnership started in 2007 and managed by Phillip Snow, selling and installing natural stone countertops, fireplace mantels, table tops and shower walls. A 2022 customer who had just bought a home found the granite countertop was installed improperly where the dishwasher goes; that customer said Glen and Tyler had the counter fixed within a couple of days, cleaned up afterward and showed the dishwasher would fit before they left. A 2022 reviewer wrote that Glen installed a new countertop and asked where they wanted the seam, then, at no cost, caulked around the sink where the cabinet installer had failed to. A 2023 customer said the company came back for a kitchen renovation after doing their bathrooms a few years earlier. A 2023 reviewer described a soapstone countertop in the bathroom with a handprints sink and credited Glen and crew. A 2024 customer said they were on time for every appointment and left the house spotless. A 2025 customer described a countertop replacement from the templates through the installation and thanked Phil, Glen and Tyler. In a 2023 r/newhampshire Reddit thread, a commenter called them reasonably priced and said they would do things most other contractors wouldn't try. On Google the business shows 5 stars from 26 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.
