Roofs are what people hire Italian Construction Company for. The Marlborough company, which says it has been in business 18 years, holds 4.9 stars from 94 ratings on Google, and many of its written reviews describe a new roof, several of them finished in a day. Customers name Alberto as the owner; in several reviews he climbed up and photographed the roof before quoting. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The roofing accounts are specific. In a May 2025 review, a homeowner said the crew removed and replaced the roof and installed new gutters in one day; another May 2025 customer had two roofs replaced and said damage found in a corner under the old roof was repaired at no extra cost. A September 2025 review describes an emergency repair call that became a full roof replacement on an 1860s house in Cambridge. In a March 2024 review, a homeowner said the reroof was done in one day, the bay window work the next day, and that many of the crew had been with Alberto over 10 years. Two early-2023 HomeAdvisor reviews describe chimney repointing and new skylights along with a roof; one customer, who had four skylights installed, called them a bit expensive. The work goes past roofing, and the Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+. A December 2025 review describes Alberto acting as general contractor on a new gas fireplace, finished within a tight timeframe; a May 2026 customer had exterior stairwells and fences repaired; and in a June 2024 review a Needham homeowner had the wood soffit, fascia and trim replaced with PVC boards along with the roof. The two newest reviews are complaints. In September 2026 and August 2026, two Google reviewers gave one star over a structure Alberto built in their yard without a permit. One said the town posted a stop-work notice and told them pulling the permit was the contractor's job, and that Alberto said he would charge them to take it down and refused a refund. The other, describing a carport, said the town made them take it down, that Alberto said he'd have to charge again, and that the structure had been leveled with nuts and washers. By contrast, a September 2025 customer whose historic building got two big projects wrote that the company got all permits from the city.
