J&B Grounds

J&B Grounds is a Lancaster, Massachusetts landscaping company offering residential lawn care and maintenance subscriptions, hardscape and water feature installations, and commercial snow and ice removal. The company says Brian Jorritsma founded it in 2020 after 5 years as a landscape crew leader. A recent customer had three retaining walls replaced and said the design input was appreciated. A recent customer said the company tore down an old shed and built a custom pad for a new one. A recent customer thanked Brian for planning a new bluestone porch and sidewalk and named employees Eddie and Lucas as the ones who put the plan in place. A recent customer said that when a section of a walkway J&B installed came loose due to uneven ground, they returned several times to make repairs. A 2025 customer had a yard graded and a patio built for a hot tub and fire pit, and said the job was done in three days in the snow. A 2025 customer whose townhouse association was in year 2 of a 3-year contract with J&B praised the snow removal during a storm that ended with a layer of ice, saying the crews were there very early and very late. A 2024 customer said Brian made a video of the scope of work for his team, checked in daily, and finished a job that ran longer than the two days quoted without increasing his charges. A 2023 customer said Brian cleared 2 acres of overgrown pasture within 3 days and ground up a brush pile at no extra cost. A 2025 customer gave one star after accepting a spring cleanup quote, saying no one showed up on the scheduled day and the company later said the crew did a drive-by and determined the work was already done. That customer said the deposit was not refunded under a company policy the customer said was not stated on the receipt or quote, and that the company offered to reschedule.
