Every fence JC Fence builds is put together on site rather than dropped in pre-made — that is the company's own pitch, and it is the clearest thing it says about how it works. The North Andover outfit describes itself on Houzz as a third-generation fence company, run by the Chiaradonna family, which it says has been serving the area for more than 40 years. The menu is a fence company's menu: aluminium, cedar stockade, chain link, and vinyl/PVC, for houses and for commercial properties, plus gates. The company also states a three-year warranty on its installations, alongside manufacturer warranties on many fences, which it says transfer to a later owner of the house. What's missing is anyone else's voice. Nobody has written a review on its Houzz page, and no reviews turned up elsewhere, so there is nothing here from people who have actually had a fence built — the whole picture comes from the company's own description of itself. Massachusetts exempts fencing-only contractors from home improvement contractor registration, so nothing about licensing is expected here either way. If you're calling, ask for local addresses from recent jobs you can drive past, and get the three-year warranty in writing on the contract along with which manufacturer warranties come with the fence you pick.
