JD Electric is Jason's one-man Beverly shop, and the thing that keeps coming up across its reviews is speed paired with a plain explanation of what's wrong — arrive on time, diagnose it, fix it, and tell the customer why. His Massachusetts journeyman electrician license is active and registry-verified, and Thumbtack's profile (74 reviews, a 5.0 average, Top Pro status since 2021) puts him at 18 years in business. The work described spans EV charger installs — including an Emporia Pro charger navigated around some awkward existing wiring — a ceiling fan mounted from a tricky attic space, an outdoor light and lamp post, a bathroom exhaust fan swap, and a full-day fix for a small business's tangled electrical issues traced to a definitive root cause. A January 2026 Thumbtack review describes a same-day repair on a holiday when two kitchen walls had no power. Recent activity has been strong: 11 reviews in the last six months, none negative, and a Peabody-area forum poster separately named him when discussing local electricians. One review in the batch is worth flagging rather than taking at face value: it opens with the phrase "Here's a polished version of your review" — apparently an AI-rewrite artifact left in by mistake — and describes installing a solar-powered crosswalk system for a city government, a scope that doesn't match anything else in JD Electric's residential and small-business record. It reads as either a mixed-up posting or a review not genuinely about this business's actual work, so it's treated with caution here. JD Electric fits homeowners who want quick turnaround on everyday electrical work — EV chargers, fixture installs, troubleshooting — from an electrician with a verified license and a track record that's been consistently clean lately.

Jason is truly everything you could ask for in an electrician. He is super professional, communication was perfect, arrives on time, assessed what needed to be done and was very fair in charging. Do not hesitate to call him. He is great!
Jason showed up for an urgent repair in the apartment on a Monday morning/afternoon. Very thorough work. Explained the root of the problem afterwards which gave me added peace of mind. Will definitely call him again when needed.
I have been putting off getting a car charger for months after getting lots of crazy quotes and prices. DJ electric was great. Took time to listen to my needs on the phone, not too much information or too little, but enough to know price and timing. Jason came out and did the work installing an Emporia Pro EV charger. Totally an easy process even with some minor curveballs with my existing conditions, he rolled right through those. Would totally recommend for EV charger install and will keep his contact for other electrical work I may have, no doubt would do a good job.
Absolutely fantastic! He was quick, efficient and very considerate with replacing my bathroom exhaust fan. Definitely recommend
