That is the size of work JJ Tile and Stone does from its Stoneham shop: tile floors, backsplashes, shower and bathroom tile, fireplace facades and stone veneer, plus quartz, marble and granite countertops. The company says it started in 2004 under the name JJ Flooring and is owner-operated by James Felizardo — "Owner operated, no subs" is how the site puts it — and the BBB file on the Stoneham address puts the business at 22 years with four employees. Price is called fair, reasonable or competitive in nine of the thirty written reviews. Google carries 5 stars from 21 ratings, and eleven of the twenty written accounts there name James himself; its BBB page is an A+. The jobs are small and specific: a mudroom floor laid in herringbone in an April 2026 review; a kitchen countertop and a tiled shower finished together in a March 2026 review; two bathrooms tiled in a November 2025 review where the homeowner said the crew delivered exactly what they had envisioned. A January 2025 customer with an old tub that needed resealing around the perimeter and up the tiled walls mentioned that he arrived on time and took his shoes off before entering. The earlier half of the history sits on Houzz under the company's former name, J&J Flooring, and most of it is from 2014 — a curbless shower where the homeowner described the crew mudding and grading the floor and working with the plumber to set a linear drain; a bathroom whose walls and floor were gutted and then tiled; a front-foyer tile job where the crew arrived early and waited in their vehicles until exactly 7am before knocking. A 2017 reviewer who decided not to hire a general contractor for a master-bath renovation credits them with the demo, flooring, tile work and heated flooring. Two things to sort out before booking. The directories do not agree on licensing: Houzz's licence field says no licence is required for this profile, while Thumbtack lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration. And the Houzz page is still the old business — it reads "We at J&J Flooring Inc", with a Revere address and the jjflooringandbaths.com site rather than the Stoneham address the company uses now. For a shower, a backsplash, a mudroom floor or a bathroom taken back to the studs and retiled, this is a small owner-run crew with twelve years of accounts behind it.
