John H. Gray Electrical, Plumbing & Heating is a Brooksville business with roots in 1984: an ellsworthamerican.com article says Gray opened it that year and that it is now run by his son, Jerry. John H. Gray holds a Maine hvac license, MS30001526, active on the state registry. A 2023 customer said they had been customers for over 40 years and called the business responsive, reliable and knowledgeable. A 2025 customer said the plumber was friendly and quick and provided images, but objected to paying $450 to install 2 shower heads bought elsewhere, one of which popped off. That 2025 customer also said messages came through multiple channels, by email and text from multiple numbers, so they dispatched at a time the customer was not available.

Plumber was friendly and quick. He provided images, was friendly and efficient. My issues are: $450 to install 2 shower heads (pre-purchased elsewhere) and one of them just popped off. I also had an issue with scheduling - multiple communication avenues (email and text by multiple numbers), so they dispatched at a time that I wasn't available. The rating is based on my disappointing and expensive first experience.
We've been customers for over 40 years. Responsive, thoughtful, reliable, and knowledgeable in addition to being a valuable part of the community.
