A tree leaning toward the house brought one customer to JP Tree Services with an urgent call. In a May 2026 Google review, the customer says Josh answered around 5:30 p.m. and had his team there before 6 p.m. The customer described rot and splitting in a triple-trunk tree and praised the crew’s response to the danger. JP Tree Services is based in Dudley. The company says it has been in business for 12 years and serves Dudley, Southbridge, Sturbridge, Webster and Worcester. Its website advertises free estimates and 24/7 emergency service, and says the company is insured. Alongside tree removal, it lists trimming and pruning, stump removal, land clearing, chipping and lumber milling. Customers describe work close to homes and in awkward spaces. In an October 2023 HomeAdvisor review, a homeowner says Josh and his partner Joel cut down two large trees between their home and a neighbor’s property. The customer praised a quote that compared favorably with other companies and said the trees were cut down in roughly two to two-and-a-half hours. A Google customer writing in August 2025 described five trees removed from an awkward area, with branches and trunks cleared away. An August 2026 reviewer praises Joshua and his team for trimming trees around the house to meet an insurance requirement, from the quote through cleanup. One recent customer describes a different experience. In an August 2026 one-star Google review, the customer says a $5,800 job included a tree dropped onto their privacy trees, trash and cigarette butts left behind, and a business sign put on the lawn without permission. A July 2026 tree-removal customer, by contrast, praises the neatness of the crew’s work and the owner’s communication. Google lists a five-star average from 151 ratings. The company’s Angi and HomeAdvisor descriptions explicitly say it does not offer fertilization or treatment services.
Let me tell you what $5800 gets you from these guys. First they’ll drop a tree on your privacy trees adjacent to your neighbor, leave behind trash and cigarette butts and to top it off put a business sign on your lawn at the end of the day without your permission. Extremely disappointed with hiring this company. I had big hopes they would have been more respectful.
We recently used JP Services to have some trees trimmed around our house as an insurance requirement and couldn’t have been more pleased and satisfied with how this transaction was handled from start to finish, from quote to clean up! Joshua and his team were efficient, courteous, knowledgeable and professional! I’ll save you the “compare and contrast” routine and highly recommend JP Services for any and all of your Tree Service needs!!
JP Tree Services was professional, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. The owner is friendly and had great communication. We were impressed by the neatness of their work given the scope of tree removal that needed to be done. Would definitely use their service again in the future and recommend to anyone looking to get tree work done!
We had an emergency situation with a triple trunk tree that had a damaged center trunk caused from a microburst a few years back. My husband noticed the tree moving an excessive amount with the crazy winds today and saw that the entire right side had rot, split and was opening and bowing with every breeze, leaning towards the house.Josh answered my frantic call right away (530ish on a Tuesday) and had his team here before 6pm. I cannot tell you how relieved we are, because that tree was falling tonight and no doubt hitting our bedroom. Fair, friendly and fast, sympathetic to our concern and urgency. We really can't thank them enough because the damage that would have caused would've been incredible and far more expensive, time consuming and repairative than the removal and fees ever were. Highly recommend, and beyond thankful for our safety.
I had 5 trees taken down in a very awkward area. They had all the right equipment to get the job done. Quick response to my messages … no waiting days for a call back ! Found JP tree service to be reasonably priced with quick and professional service. Removed all branches and trunks. My neighbor also had a few things done and they were able to accommodate her same day . I highly recommend JP tree service. Before and after photos
