Grinding the stumps of six huge pine trees and spreading the sawdust across a patchy backyard is how one June 2026 customer described JV Stump Grinding’s work. The customer credited Keith with leaving the yard looking better and easier to maintain. J&V describes itself as a family-owned and operated stump-grinding business, and its website offers free estimates and says it is insured. Customers describe both the removal work and the arrangements beforehand. A July 2026 Thumbtack reviewer said Keith removed nuisance stumps they had been tripping over for years, arrived when promised, and sent a heads-up when he was fifteen minutes away. That customer called the cost more than reasonable. A separate June 2026 reviewer said J&V thoroughly answered their questions before grinding the stumps on their property, then left the area clean when the work was finished. A September 2026 reviewer praised Keith’s punctuality, free estimate and quick response about scheduling. In an August 2025 Thumbtack review, a customer said a very large tree had been cut down in their front yard and they needed the stump ground down and all roots removed for a patio installation. They said the worker got every last bit and charged less than the other quotes. After watching the machinery arrive and the grinding work, the customer felt he could have charged more. A May 2025 reviewer said Keith came out immediately to price the job, even on Mother’s Day, gave a fair price and arranged Dig Safe; the customer described five stumps and two bushes removed. In a September 2024 review, another customer said five stumps were gone in an hour. They praised the worker’s punctuality and responsiveness, said he covered the area, and appreciated being allowed to keep the chips for a future project. Thumbtack’s overall rating is 5.0 stars from 60 ratings, with 98% at five stars and 2% at four. In an October 2025 review, a first-time stump-work customer said Keith responded quickly to the initial inquiry, explained the process, gave a quote and communicated his arrival time before completing the work promptly.
