Painting jobs have also involved repairing rotted wood for K&G customers. A July 2024 Google reviewer described exterior painting alongside replacement and repair of siding, trim and window sills, and praised Joao’s communication about quotes and costs. An August 2024 repeat customer described siding and windowsill repairs followed by painting, saying the team had also painted the house seven years earlier. K&G Painting and Remodeling says it is based in Marlborough and serves a 20-mile radius across Central Massachusetts and MetroWest. Its website reports over 20 years of experience and offers interior and exterior painting, room remodeling, carpentry, decks and porches, siding, windows and wood refinishing. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 182740, is active. Google displays 4.9 stars from 54 ratings; Angi displays 4.8 from 19. The work customers describe extends into whole bathrooms and decks. A May 2025 reviewer said Joao and the team gutted and completely remodeled four bathrooms with wall-to-wall tile, accommodating changes along the way. In September 2023, a condo owner said John and the team replaced front and rear decks with composite decking, completing both in three days. A December 2023 deck customer praised daily cleanup and said John responded quickly by phone, text or email. A July 2023 homeowner described hanging about 100 sheets of drywall and plastering rooms that included a vaulted bedroom with angular passages and exposed beams. The customer said the crews finished in five days. Another homeowner, writing in October 2023, described exterior painting done in 2022, restoration of a sun-damaged front door by sanding and staining, and later interior painting and kitchen and bathroom cabinet color changes. A June 2024 reviewer also described bathroom remodeling and bedroom flooring among previous jobs. An April 2025 interior-painting customer said the team stayed on schedule and charged a reasonable price. A repeat customer’s September 20, 2024 update raised a follow-up issue: a few lingering items the company had said it would address had not yet been addressed at that time.
“Could not be more pleased with John and his crew at K&G Painting. The company name says "painting", but they do so much more than that! They were spot on with the estimate for our home and when we decided to make upgrades to the project, they were up...”
Highly recommend K& G Painting and Remodeling.. Joao and team are wonderful. We got our 4 bathrooms completely remodeled, gutted and redone with wall to wall tiles.. couldn’t have been happier. They are very accommodating to work with on changes as they came. We will surely be working with them on future projects.
We hired K & G for some interior painting. They were very responsive, stayed on schedule, and the pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend John and his team. We will absolutely be hiring them again.
K&G's painting team did a great job. His team did some repair carpentry work on siding, and some windowsills, and had the painting completed within a couple of days (around the rain days). This was the 2nd time we had him, and his team paint the house. They painted it 7 years ago and did a great job.
Did a great job, repeat customer here. UPDATE: A few lingering items that K& G says they will address but have not yet. (9/20/24)
K&G did a terrific job painting our house exterior. They replaced and repaired all damaged or rotted siding, trim and window sills. They were professional, pleasant and hard working. Joao is a great communicator, transparent with quotes and costs which contributed to our positive experience. We highly recommend K&G painting!
