Keith Faso Carpentry Home Improvement & Handyman is a Newton, Massachusetts operation the company says has been running since 1984 — 37 years of the small jobs most contractors don't want to bother with. On Angi and HomeAdvisor, 26 ratings average 4.9, and both platforms tell the same story from the same customers. What comes through in the written reviews is a pattern of small, specific repairs done right. In a 2019 review, a homeowner described him replacing weatherstripping around every exterior door and swapping out vent covers high on the roof, calling him pleasant to work with and reliable about doing what he said he would. A 2017 review tells a different kind of story — a customer called him out to check a stain from a suspected skylight leak, and instead of replacing the window as other contractors had suggested, he found it just needed resealing, sparing them the bigger job. Reviewers writing between 2017 and 2020 repeatedly describe him as responsive — quick to call back, quick to show up, and in one case charging less than his original quote once the job turned out simpler than expected. The company also lists crown and base moldings, trim work, fencing installation and repair, childproofing, and general home repair among its services, alongside an EPA Lead-Safe Renovator certification. Worth knowing before calling: the written reviews on file run from 2017 to 2020, with nothing more recent posted on either platform, so there's no way to speak to current wait times or availability from customer accounts alone. For a homeowner with a list of small, odd repairs — a sticking door, a drafty window, a leak that might not need a full replacement — Keith Faso Carpentry looks like the kind of call that gets made once and then made again. Confirm current availability and pricing directly, since the customer record predates the last several years.

Keith responded to my inquiry quickly. We had a very pleasant conversation and agreed he drop by a couple of hours later. He was prompt, responsive, an excellent listener. He worked efficiently and capably in completing the task and charged me less than he had originally charged.
We cannot recommend Keith more highly. He is extraordinarily competent, conscientious and honest- none of which are common virtues. He is moreover remarkably resourceful- able to swiftly solve whatever complications arise in the course of a project. We were fortunate to discover him- and will hire him again at the next opportunity. We recommend him without reservation.
Keith is EXTREMELY responsive, professional, and focused on quality. Can't recommend him enough!
Keith did a great job at replacing the weatherstripping all around my exterior doors. He also replaced some vent covers high up towards the roof. Very pleasant to work with and did everything right when he said he would. I'd recommend him and hire him again when needed.
Needed someone to find out if there was any leak from the sky light window since we saw some small stain from the inside. I was very pleased to find out all it needed was to reseal the window and not to replace it as suggested by other contractors. we are very impressed with his honesty and plan to hire him again for future projects.
