Motti Painting Solutions is a Boston-based residential painting and carpentry contractor that also takes on historic home restoration, self-reporting more than 20 years in business and led out of a Boston office. Homeowners who've hired the company describe a consistent pattern across several years of reviews: thorough surface preparation — scraping, sanding, and caulking — paired with carpentry and wood repair done ahead of the paint work, especially on older houses with wood siding and trim. That combination of painting plus structural wood repair shows up often enough to read as a defining trait rather than a one-off, and the company also takes on interior projects, including detailed trim and cabinet painting. Its Google profile carries a 4.9-star average across 155 ratings, and independent directories (TrustAnalytica, ThreeBestRated) list it among the top-rated painters serving the Boston area. The Better Business Bureau lists the business at an A+ grade, though it is not a BBB Accredited Business — worth knowing since accreditation and grade are two different things. One independent comparison of painters who take on larger commercial and industrial jobs notes that Motti's work leans toward general residential and commercial painting rather than specialized industrial or plant painting, so it's a better fit for a house than a factory floor. Before booking, it's worth confirming current scheduling directly, since the deep multi-year review history hasn't been matched by much review volume in the last six months. It's also worth double-checking the company's current address and license status with the state before signing, since its listed address varies across sources — a Boston office, an Everett address on its BBB profile, and a Charlestown address on one review directory. Overall, this is a contractor with a long, well-documented history of exterior painting and carpentry work on residential and historic properties around Boston, backed by a state-verified license and a strong multi-year review record — a reasonable call for homeowners who want painting paired with wood or carpentry repair on an older home, with the caveat of confirming current availability and business details directly.

We were really satisfied with Motti Painting. They did a very thorough job painting and did some carpentry repairs. It was money well spent and I would recommend them to anyone looking to repaint their home.

This past summer Motti Painting solutions repainted our three story Victorian home. Quote: Daniel was punctual, came to the house, provided an estimate that he explained and walked us through. He was very clear about the process for change orders, which he honored and the specs on materials (paint, caulk, wood) brand and grade options. Payments were broken up into manageable chunks. Preparation: Daniel’s crew surveyed the entire house, identified clapboards that needed replacement, marked them clearly so we could see what needed to be replaced, offered us options on materials and efficiently replaced all damaged areas. In some instances the carpenter went above and beyond and replaced some damaged areas behind the clapboard that were not originally identified in the contract. We felt confident that once the painting commenced that the envelope was secure and that the carpentry work was solid. While the carpenter worked, the rest of Daniel’s team did an excellent job of scraping the whole house and caulking seams to ensure the paint would adhere and last. Painting and staining: Daniel’s team of four were respectful, efficient and responsive to feedback, as was Daniel. When we asked about adding additional drop cloths to catch any chipping or paint, they complied. They did an excellent job of the primary painting job but also sanded and stained our doors, front porch, rear deck and the ceiling of our front porch. We were shown samples of stain colors and had an opportunity to provide our own paint colors. We were very pleased with the quality of the finished product. We’ve received a lot of comments from our neighbors about both the thoroughness of the preparation and the end results. Warranty: There is a 3-year warranty! There was one small area of a cellar enclosure where we had some separation of the siding. Daniel sent his team to repair it the next week at no additional charge. Overall: Highly recommend Motti Painting Solutions and Daniel. This is our second paint job and so have had the experience of working with far less communicative and conscientious contractors. It's nice to work with someone who takes pride in their own work and the quality of their materials and has a crew that is highly skilled. In seeking out a whole house paint job we’ve gotten a lot of quotes and you can find someone who will do it cheaper or you can find someone who will do it for a lot more money than Daniel charged. For the quality and the care we feel very satisfied that we made the right investment, paid a fair price and have a paint job that will last at least 20-years.

Amazing, high quality work! Harder project with a large room with many windows and detailed wood cabinets... all painted (including ceiling) in a deep dark library green. Very happy with the results.

I have an antique house (>200 years old) with wood siding and Motti painting painted ny exterior, floor of my porch and some exterior carpentry repairs. Motti Painting did a fantastic job with attention to detail and doing everything the right way. For the quality of work done the price was excellent. 10 years ago we had different painter paint our house and we started seeing some peeling issues in certain place just a year later because the prep was insufficient. When Motti’s crew did it this year they did the prep was above and beyond. In *every* problem area they scraped down to bare wood and primed with quality primer. Every gap was properly caulked. It was night and day compared to other painters. The finish coats were perfect as well. I have no doubt that any other high end painter would have charged me 40% more than Motti did to do that quality level of work. He guarantees his work for 2 years which is a rarity amongst house painters but I am sure he can give that guarantee because they do it right from the beginning. So happy we went with them this year!
