Kings Flooring

Kings Flooring is a small southern New Hampshire flooring outfit — one man, Elvis, who answers his own reviews — working out of 41B Chestnut St in Nashua, though its Houzz page gives the address as Derry. The work reaches across the state line into Methuen, Lawrence, Dracut, Haverhill and Andover. What the written accounts describe, consistently, is old wood rather than new floors. In a January 2018 review a homeowner had the floors of an 1880 house repaired, sanded and refinished; the boards were over an inch wide and no longer manufactured, so the damaged sections were cut from new oak, stained to match and refinished. Another that month said she chose him over other companies because he pointed out bad spots she had not seen herself. A third described two bedrooms refinished with the dust well contained by sealing off the rooms, and planned to bring him back for an addition. In April 2019 a customer on Porch needed floors refinished quickly to show a house for sale and had the older boards matched to the new ones in an addition. Beyond refinishing and repair, the trade runs to flooring sales and installation, laminate and LVP, tile, staining, subfloor work and floor levelling, and the Porch listing adds interior painting and drywall. Two things to check. The written record is thin and dated — four reviews in total, the newest from April 2019, and the three Houzz ones were all posted on the same day in January 2018. And the headline numbers deserve a second look: Porch's 5.00 'based on 30 online reviews' is restated aggregation rather than 30 Porch reviews, with only one review body actually retrievable there. Porch's own page also says ten years in business while the profile text claims over twenty years of experience in the industry. For hardwood repair and refinishing — especially matching boards that are no longer made — the specific praise here is genuinely on point. Ask for recent references, since almost nothing on record is from the last five years.
