Andre's part of the job starts before anyone touches a floor: choosing the material. A designer wrote in February 2024 that she brings him her clients for carpet selection. A January 2026 customer was measured and standing in the showroom picking what they wanted the same week they reached out. Another customer that month chose a wide-plank engineered oak to replace a floating wood floor, with Andre walking them through the options. In July 2026 the crew refinished hardwood floors and took paint off a staircase. A September 2025 job carpeted a large living room, put vinyl plank in the area by the door, and sanded and refinished the hardwood across the rest of the first floor. The harder jobs are the ones worth knowing about. At a hundred-year-old house in 2022, the crew stripped layers of old flooring down to the original hardwood and tiled over it; another 2022 customer needed a concrete slab leveled before the subfloor and luxury vinyl plank could go in. A March 2025 customer supplied their own tile and called themselves picky about the grout color — Andre came back with a match they were happy with. Commercial work runs alongside the houses: a hotel had seven bathrooms done over two years plus four vinyl floors, and a credit union had carpet tiles laid in its community room in February 2022. The one sour account is about the front end rather than the work. A July 2024 customer said a measurer came out and promised a quote, and two weeks later nothing had arrived; when they called, they were told the company was very busy and "they'll get to it when they get to it." Put a date on your quote when you book the measure. If a room needs more than one material — tile at the entry, hardwood refinished, carpet in the bedrooms — this is a shop that sells and installs all of it. Agree the quote deadline up front, and if you are matching grout or stain to something you already own, bring it with you to the showroom.
