Kitchen Encounters is a Wilbraham kitchen and bath design and remodeling showroom. On its Houzz profile, the company says it was founded in 1994 by Bob and Michael Gasteyer. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 125223, is active on the state registry under Kitchen Encounters, Inc. A 2016 Houzz reviewer described a kitchen update with new cabinets, a center island, lighting, quartz countertops, a stone backsplash, a granite sink, a new faucet and a dishwasher, and said the installation was completed a week ahead of the projected finish. A 2017 Houzz reviewer wrote that Dean handled the installation and custom cabinet designs and that the project finished on time. A 2017 reviewer wrote that the workers kept their space clean and that the project finished early and stayed close to their budget. A 2018 Houzz reviewer wrote that the job was done exactly when promised and that the company kept them updated along the way. A 2021 Google reviewer wrote that this was their second kitchen remodel with Kitchen Encounters and that Joy made sure all aspects of the remodel went smoothly. A 2022 Houzz reviewer wrote that, with Joy's help, a big project ran smoothly and on time. A 2025 Google reviewer thanked Allison for help with a countertop and Jim for having it ready within hours. In a 2021 Google review, a customer wrote that after a major remodel the kitchen sink was not installed properly, a pantry on rotating supports had no shelf supports, and electric outlets were installed at an improper height and had to be redone; that 2021 customer said the owner told them to contact the granite installer and the manufacturer themselves. In a 2024 Google review, a customer said a quartz countertop installation involved at least 14 different people who did not communicate with each other, and called the job sloppy.
