Kitchens By Bruce remodels kitchens, bathrooms and whole living spaces, and the company describes itself as a design, installation and remodeling/addition team that has been in business 20 years. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0638134, held by KITCHENS BY BRUCE LLC, is active on the state registry. A recent customer said the kitchen project was quoted at a month "and that was spot on," with every appointment kept. A recent kitchen-and-living-area job took out a wall to open the space and double the cabinet storage; that customer said it was estimated at 4 weeks, finished exactly on schedule, and came with a calendar showing when each contractor would be at the home. A recent sunroom customer said the work area was kept clean, the project was completed on schedule, and thanked project manager Doug on his retirement. The work runs well past kitchens. A recent customer had a full bathroom completely remodeled and a half bath refreshed. A recent job covered a whole first floor: the kitchen gutted and rebuilt, floors sanded and stained, the fireplace remodeled and built-ins added in the living room, with the floors, ceiling and painting subcontracted out. That customer said they chose the company over a similar quote because of its digital rendering. A 2025 customer said their kitchen ran past its timeline only because they asked for extra work in a bordering room, and named Laura on design, Paul overseeing the job and Steve, Amos and Elias as the carpenters. A 2023 customer said they were in and out in two weeks and called the price fair. In a 2022 review, a customer whose kitchen remodel included taking down a wall said the crew moved plumbing and gas lines. A 2025 Reddit commenter in r/Connecticut said they used the company for a kitchen and two bathrooms and recommended it to several friends.
“Kitchens by Bruce.. used them for a kitchen and 2 bathrooms and recommended them to several friends.”
Dear Bruce, I just wanted to send you this quick note to tell you how absolutely thrilled my wife and I are with our new kitchen. It came out better than we could have hoped. And the process was equally good. All appointments were kept; all timelines were met or exceeded; all calls and e mails were returned timely, and no item was left unaddressed. All the subcontractors were equally as professional. We were told the project would take a month and that was spot on. Ben was terrific to work with from the initial sales visit right through the end of the project. He constantly kept us updated and he honored every commitment he made. His attention to every detail is evident in the final product. This was as seamless a project as I ever been a part of. I wish I knew everybody’s name who worked in our home so I could thank them individually for their professionalism, kindness and their quality work. That is a high-quality team you’ve assembled and we feel very lucky to be the beneficiaries. So, thank you and please thank your staff and your subcontractors. Sincerely Cathy and Martin Woods

We had a very positive experience working with Kitchens by Bruce and are very happy with the final result. We had a full bathroom completely remodeled and a half bath was refreshed. From initial point of contact and throughout the project, the staff was friendly and very communicative. Would definitely recommend the KBB team!
KBB performed an amazing transformation of my kitchen and living area. By removing a wall, they completely opened up the space and doubled my cabinet storage. The project was estimated to take 4 weeks, and they finished exactly on schedule. A calendar was provided which detailed when each contractor would be at my home, and everything stayed on track as promised. Every contractor was professional, respectful and friendly throughout the entire process. I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful new space! Thank you, KBB!
