Eighty-seven Google ratings averaging 4.9, and the number that actually explains the business turns up in a January 2026 review: Home Depot quoted three times what Kitchen Tune-Up charged for the same cabinet facelift. This is Matt Silva's Peabody franchise, and its trade is making an existing kitchen look new — refacing cabinets, replacing doors and drawers, swapping countertops and backsplashes — rather than gutting one. Speed is the second thing people write about. An April 2022 customer said a 26-year-old kitchen was made to look brand new in five days, at half what a custom cabinet company had quoted, with the crew cleaning up every night and back the next morning. A June 2022 reviewer had theirs finished in two days. That pace shows in the current work too: a February 2026 customer said the job was done on time and that a couple of minor issues were dealt with immediately. When a job needs more than cabinets, Matt runs it. A December 2023 reviewer said he coordinated every subcontractor and handed over a schedule at the start that the work then followed. A November 2023 customer with a small kitchen said the cabinet crew, electrical, plumbing, countertop and tile were all sequenced by him. In January 2026 a kitchen refresh took in quartz counters, a subway tile backsplash, and a plumber who fitted a new sink and dishwasher and hooked up the stove. Bathrooms come up occasionally as well — an April 2026 repeat customer had a tub-to-shower conversion done after a cabinet refacing a few years earlier. Three things to weigh. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 140316, is expired in the state registry; cabinet and countertop remodeling is not an exempt trade in Massachusetts, so ask whether it has been renewed before you sign. Houzz shows 2.8 stars across four ratings — a small sample, but a long way from the 4.9 on Google, and worth reading through yourself. And in May 2022 a customer reported that the estimate appointment ran an hour late with no notice, and that half of it was spent on a phone call with another client. Against that, the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+ and lists 19 years in business, and the seven reviews posted since February 2026 are all positive. If your kitchen is structurally sound but dated, this is the shape of company to call — faster and cheaper than a full gut, with a long, consistent run of finished jobs behind it. Settle the registration before the deposit, and read the Houzz reviews alongside the Google ones.
I could go on forever but to shirten it our kitchen needed an uplift. It was a 70's styled kitchen that needed modern life. It was such a pleasure working with Matt and his team. Honestly the smoothest process I have ever encountered. He made everything so easy and so streamlined and the project was so outlined and done within 8 business days total! Between the painting.. the countertops going in.. the tile work.. plumbing and electrion.. The work is absolutely beautiful. Painted caninet frames... new cabinet doors.. new counter tops.. tile back splash.. I have to say I enjoy my meal preps and cooking in the kitchen now. One of my favorite rooms to be.
I highly recommend Matt and the Kitchen Tune-Up team. They exceeded my expectations with planning, workmanship, detail, communication and speed of project completion. They are also personable and collaborative. They would be my go-to for similar projects in the future.
Matt Silva and his team are the best !! This is our second time using Kitchen Tune-up . A few years ago we had the team do cabinet refacing in our kitchen. The transformation of our kitchen was better than I expected.
When we decided to redo our bathroom, convert a bath tub/ shower to a walk in shower I contacted Matt to see if his team does this type of work. As you can see by the pictures our bathroom is beautiful !! Exactly the vision I had in mind .
I contacted Matt , within a day he came to look at the job , he gave us a quote soon after meeting with him . Within a few weeks the job was started .
We had a day to day schedule of what was going to be done . Everyone on his team was great , Carpenters , Plumber and the Tile installer's were the best . At the end of each day they cleaned up before they let , even vacuumed as they went out the door. We would highly recommend Matt Silva and his great team at Kitchen Tune-up .
( you need to add Bathroom tune-up to your name )
Thank you again Matt !! Janice / Arthur
Excellent experience. Matt Silva and his Peabody, Ma team were great to work with. Highly recommend them.
We had an excellent experience with Matt Silva and his team. They showed up as scheduled and were professional and respectful in our home and always cleaned up on the way out. Matt was very responsive to emails and phone calls and coordinated every detail of removal and installations. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future projects.
