A customer found a complicated rounded wall-panel design on Pinterest, and Igor of Laba Carpentry replicated it and hung it on her living room walls, she wrote in a July 2025 Google review. That kind of custom millwork and built-in furniture is what this small Stamford carpentry shop's customers describe, and it holds 5 stars from 12 Google ratings, with written reviews from 2021 to 2025.
In June 2025, a homeowner described several custom pieces built during a renovation, including a built-in office desk, an under-TV cabinet and a banquette seat with a custom wood tabletop, plus wainscoting in several rooms. A July 2024 reviewer had a family-room built-in designed from Ihor's sketch to maximize storage and tie in the room's other design elements. A February 2025 customer said a storage-focused cabinet design had held up well months later. The shop also does commercial pieces: a March 2025 beauty salon had a workspace measured, built and installed three days after the measuring visit.
A February 2025 reviewer called the prices reasonable for high-end work, and several reviews describe clean, on-time work. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0661118, is active, held by Laba Carpentry LLC.

I found a very complicated, rounded wall panel image on Pinterest that I loved. Igor was able to replicate it and meticulously hang on my walls. My living room looks incredible thanks to Igor’s mill work expertise. I will definitely work with him again!
Laba Carpentry built several pieces of custom furniture during my recent home renovation as well as installing wainscoting in several rooms throughout my home. This furniture included a built in office desk, under TV cabinet and Banquette seat with a custom wood table top. All of these pieces were uniquely designed, built and hand crafted specifically for each space by Laba. The workmanship was of the highest quality and we couldn’t be more pleased with the end product. The owner of the company is a true artisan and really cares about customer satisfaction with his work. I highly recommend Laba for any projects you may have. If you use their services, I am sure you will be just as pleased as we are with their custom products and customer focus!
We ordered a workspace for our beauty salon from Laba Carpentry, and it was the best work experience we've had. After scheduling a meeting for the measurements of the individual workspace, the Laba Carpentry team arrived on time and took into account all our requests. Three days later, they brought the finished product and installed it very quickly and with great quality. It was exactly what we wanted and ordered. I highly recommend Laba Carpentry – the best company we've worked with.
Laba Carpentry was very attentive and listened to my family's needs, coming up with a design that was both practical and modern, maximizing storage. Since then, it has been a few months, and the cabinets have held up very well! Everyone who has stepped foot into my home has commented on the level of craftsmanship and often asks for their contact information.
