Landscape Designs NH - Martha Shangraw

We can't recommend Martha highly enough! She is knowledgeable, experienced, thoughtful and proactive. Her communication is beyond compare, and she has helped us successfully coordinate a team of people involved in a large water mitigation and landscaping project that included site studies, environmental restrictions/parameters, and permitting. She created a gorgeous plan based on our needs and desires, and was also wonderfully receptive to our feedback, collaboratively adapting the plan so that the final product meets our expectations perfectly. Throughout the process, Martha has to move things forward in a way that was effective yet diplomatic. I honestly can't imagine getting this project done without her vision and her leadership. She has truly been a delight to work with and we will absolutely turn to her in the future for any and all of our landscaping design needs.

We have known Martha for 40 years. She is an incredible artist in many areas including home décor, custom signs & plaques, painting rocks, designing landscapes and gardens, etc. She has a knack for just plain making everything look beautiful!!! We built a sauna and wanted to add an outdoor living space. The space she designed included a fire pit, a stone wall, and a paver patio. We are installing it in stages. She developed a preliminary plan which was exactly what we were looking for, incorporating minor details we wanted too. The results are more than we expected, and she is reasonably priced! We highly recommend her for any landscaping needs you might have.

It was a great experience working with Martha. We knew we were building a beautiful home and wanted a landscape to match. She succeeded!

We recently hired Martha Shangraw to design the landscape at our new home—and once again, she exceeded all expectations. Martha had previously designed the yard at our last house, so we knew her creativity, professionalism, and talent firsthand. She walked us through the process, listened to our ideas, offered great suggestions, and brought her signature creativity to the project. Martha took detailed measurements on-site, carefully studied the space, and delivered a beautiful, well-thought-out design. She was open to feedback and made thoughtful adjustments along the way. Her blend of hardscape, plantings, and layout was incredibly well done—and her choices of flowers and trees really brought the space to life. She’s dependable, easy to work with, and very reasonably priced. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend her!
