Lawn Doctor of Metro West and North Shore is the Littleton-based, locally owned franchise of the national Lawn Doctor lawn-care brand, run day to day by general manager Derek Brierly. Homeowners hire it for seasonal lawn programs — fertilization, weed control, aeration and overseeding, and tick and mosquito treatments. Its review base is deep and mostly happy: a 4.7-star average across 191 Google ratings and 113 reviews on file since 2018. What customers praise is unusually consistent — they name their technicians (Mike Grams, Craig, Mark, Alonso) year after year, describe careful work around flower beds and gardens, and say the office responds quickly, including a reviewer whose tick problem was re-treated at no charge. Several switched from larger national competitors and say the difference shows in both results and how the company listens. The complaints that exist are specific and worth weighing. In May 2026 a customer reported the company mis-quoted their property from the wrong address, then imposed a large price increase after honoring one treatment. A 2025 reviewer paid for aeration and power seeding, called the result a disaster, and said it was never made right; a 2024 reviewer alleged a technician ran an empty spreader over the yard and argued when confronted; and a 2023 customer's gate was left open, letting their dog loose.
