The only written review Lee Kennedy Co Inc has drawn this year isn't about a construction job at all — it's a complaint about a company pickup truck driving aggressively on the road, with the reviewer hoping "their driving mentality doesn't reflect their work/company mentality." It's a fair flag, but it says nothing about how the company actually builds. What the company actually builds is institutional and commercial work. The Quincy-based firm, family-run since 1978, describes itself today as handling preconstruction, construction management, virtual design and construction, design-build, and safety oversight for academic buildings, healthcare facilities, historic restorations, and commercial-retail projects. The company says founder Lee Kennedy Sr. — a Marine Corps veteran who'd worked as a union laborer, crane operator and ironworker — started the firm so jobs would run on his own full-time crews. It's still family-led, with son Lee Michael Kennedy as CEO and Eugene Kennedy as principal owner. On Google, it holds a 4.4-star average across 13 ratings — solid, though that one written review is the only text behind the number. Elsewhere, Lee Kennedy's footprint is mostly industry directories and trade coverage rather than customer write-ups: BuildZoom, The Blue Book, BLDUP, Boston Magazine, and the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts all list it among full-service builders working historic preservation, biotech, higher-education, and institutional jobs. It carries no Better Business Bureau rating and isn't BBB accredited. The project list here — academic, healthcare, historic restoration, institutional and commercial — points toward larger-scope work rather than routine single-family remodeling, so it's worth confirming upfront whether they'd take on a smaller residential job at all. With so little independent customer feedback beyond the star average, ask for recent, verifiable project references before committing to anything sizable.

It’s a shame that the driver of a black ford f150 mass plate S21382 thinks they’re king of the road and rules do not apply to them. I would expect more from a company with such good reviews. Hopefully their driving mentality doesn’t reflect their work/ company mentality. Shame
