Life painting and home improvement

Life Painting and Home Improvement is a Dedham, Massachusetts painting company run by Douglas ("Doug"), offering interior and exterior painting along with power washing and soft washing for homeowners, with a stated focus on careful surface preparation and protecting the property during a job. Homeowners who hired them consistently praise the crew's punctuality, responsiveness, and clean work habits, with several reviewers noting painted areas were left spotless at the end of each day. The track record runs from 2021 through 2024 across Google and other platforms, and several reviewers describe Doug personally overseeing the job, helping select paint colors that matched existing kitchens, palettes, and decor, and communicating clearly about timelines and budget. One customer, a real estate agent, reports hiring the company multiple times over several jobs and regularly referring them to clients with no complaints. Beyond painting, reviewers describe the crew taking on adjacent home-improvement work during larger projects -- installing a new vinyl floor and remodeling a bathroom alongside the paint job, installing exterior doors and railings, and repairing a deteriorating garage. This matches the company's own description of itself as a painting and carpentry business serving Massachusetts. Worth asking about before booking: a licensing directory lists the company's Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (#198742) as inactive, with a listed expiration in mid-2026 and marked expired as of August 2026 -- worth confirming current licensing and insurance status directly with the company before signing a contract. Life Painting and Home Improvement is a solid call for a Massachusetts homeowner who wants a painting-led crew that also handles related carpentry and small remodeling work, especially where color coordination and clean daily work sites matter; just confirm their license is current before booking.
