Lighthouse Garages

A broken spring, an unresponsive opener, or a new garage door: customers have called Lighthouse Garages for each. The company says it is based in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard and offers garage door installation and repair across Dukes County, Nantucket, and Cape Cod. Its website also advertises garage and basement floor coatings and concrete coatings. In a December 2025 Google review, a customer described a new garage door installation by a crew that arrived on time, communicated clearly, and left the space clean. The customer praised both the finished door and the attention paid to the installation. A May 2026 reviewer described Charlie as responsive, fair, and knowledgeable, praising his precision and design expertise. Google showed a five-star average from 34 ratings in August 2026. Several older customers described the steps between calling and getting a door working again. In a January 2025 review, one said Charlie arrived the same day and fixed the door the next. An August 2024 reviewer described a failed ten-year-old opener that Charlie diagnosed and replaced within a couple of days. Another customer, writing in June 2024, said the proprietor arrived in less than an hour, diagnosed an unresponsive opener, and offered options at different prices. The customer chose a new opener and said it was installed within 48 hours. Repair work also included the moving parts of the door itself. A June 2024 customer said Charlie replaced cables and rollers, leaving the door running quietly. A July 2024 reviewer described a broken pulley and spring and said the door was completely fixed within two hours. In a February 2024 review, a customer described a door that was falling halfway; Charlie repaired it and performed preventive maintenance. An April 2024 reviewer identified Charlie as the owner and said he tried a repair before suggesting replacement. A May 2024 customer described a same-day visit to inspect a door that responded inconsistently to its remote, with advice given even though the visit did not lead to immediate business. Beyond doors, a February 2024 customer praised a garage-floor transformation, including the quality, efficiency, and pricing of the work.
