Lunex Power is a solar installer whose customers name one person more than any other: Will, the staff member who walks new owners through the monitoring app once a system is on. Thirteen of the 36 Google reviews quoted here mention him. The company says it started in Tampa Bay, Florida, in 2020 and has grown into a seven-state operation; this listing is its Worcester office. Its site describes residential, commercial and off-grid solar plus electrical work such as panel upgrades and EV chargers, and its Massachusetts electrician licence (8225) is active on the state registry. Google shows 4.8 stars from 104 ratings. The detailed good accounts describe the whole path from contract to Permission to Operate. In a September 2025 review, a customer laid out the steps: a site survey that checked the electrical panel and roof, permits, a quick installation and clean-up, then more than six weeks of fire, electrical and building inspections before the utility installed the net meter. Start to finish took about three and a half months, and the customer said the company kept them informed by email and text even though the online project portal stopped working. A March 2025 reviewer who came through East Coast Metal Roofing said Lunex swapped in slightly higher-powered panels at no extra cost when the ordered ones weren't available, and that one staff member went to the city in person to push the inspection along. The complaints are about follow-through. In a February 2026 review, a customer promised Permission to Operate by January 1 said a crew installed only the battery on December 1, missed the rescheduled date, sent unprepared crews and missed a February inspection, and the system still had no PTO. A November 2025 reviewer said panels were not screwed into the roof beams, REC450 panels went in instead of the promised 460s, and calls and emails went unanswered. Two more 2025 reviewers, one 2★ and one 1★, described weeks of unanswered emails and calls, and even a 4★ March 2026 reviewer said the install took occasional prodding to stay on track.

The install process was a bit bumpy and convoluted, with some occasional prodding required by us to keep everything on track. However, we finally got our solar panel system installed, and Will was great at showing us how to use the app to monitor the system and answer our questions! Looking forward to generating some power and finally slashing our electric bills.
