Sunrun Inc. describes itself on HomeAdvisor as an American provider of photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage products, primarily for residential customers, headquartered in San Francisco, California. A 2026 Google customer wrote that someone working for Sunrun showed up at their house attempting to sell them solar, and that they were told by Sunrun a state grant would provide homes with a roof that needed one. That customer said the roof was replaced and a $15,000 mechanics lien was then placed on the house, and wrote: "Not one thing he said was true." A 2023 HomeAdvisor customer said they got solar for no money out of pocket and that their electric bill dropped by 45%.
