A July 2026 Google review describes a custom deck built "in some very challenging conditions" — eased edges on every plank, sealed ends, sunshade posts set at an angle — and credits the crew with handling the shoreland zone permitting and finishing on time and on budget. That reviewer thanked Jason, Randy and the whole crew by name. Maine Coast Contracting works out of Boothbay and says it has been in business for 10 years. Its website leads with architectural design services. An April 2026 Google reviewer wrote of a "start to finish new home in e boothbay", and a December 2025 customer said Jason and his team were on time and thorough with both the estimate and the completion of their new home. Another December 2025 review credits Jason and his crew with framing, siding and installing windows in that customer's home. In a December 2025 review, a customer described a "contractor to contractor" experience with Jason's team, and another December 2025 customer said they deal with the company on an ongoing basis and praised its building skill. On Google it holds 5 stars from 20 ratings. In a February 2025 review, a customer says their partner died during construction and they were unable to complete their house. That customer still described Jason as understanding and supportive through it, and as efficient and flexible on the job, and said they would hire him again.

To Jason, Randy and the whole crew at Maine Coast Contracting we can not thank you enough! You built our custom deck in some very challenging conditions and while we were mostly away. Everything from the decking to the railing to the custom designed sunshade posts turned out perfectly. Your attention to detail is the perfect finishing touch. The eased edges of each individual deck plank, the sealed ends, the beautifully designed sun shade posts installed at just the right angle, the list goes on. In addition, the professional way your team navigated the shoreland zone permitting process was priceless. And you delivered all of this on time and on budget. It has been a pleasure working with you and we couldn’t be happier.
