Another needed walnut floors refinished before listing a house, called on a Sunday, and had him out within a day working around their schedule. Color matching comes up repeatedly, and it isn't always frictionless. One reviewer this summer went through several rounds landing on the right gray — "gray tones can be tricky" — before settling on a stain and calling the finished floor beautiful. If you want a specific shade, budget time for test boards rather than expecting a first-pass match. He also comes back. One homeowner noticed two small spots after the job and says he returned quickly to take care of them, and another described him as a contractor with a conscience — his own tagline, but they used it unprompted after feeling comfortable with his crew in the house. Two things to sort out before booking. The business address shows Burlington, while the Houzz listing carries a Lexington address and a different phone number, so confirm which is current. And nothing in the public record shows a state license or registration check — worth asking for the paperwork directly, as with any contractor. The right call for old hardwood that needs saving rather than replacing, especially if a dust-free job matters.
