Forty-four people have written about Joe Dimino, and not one of them describes a job that went wrong. He is a tile setter first. The company trades as Joe Dimino Tile and also as J. D. Tile, and its own site claims 30 years at it — tile, marble and granite, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, hardwood and laminate flooring, and Schluter waterproofing systems, with free quotes. Google shows 5.0 from 47 ratings, and the word that keeps coming back in the write-ups is not fast or cheap but artisan. The useful reviews are the ones that describe the actual work. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner whose marble master shower was leaking into the living-room ceiling below laid out the fix step by step: a Schluter shower pan system installed, the shower floor tile completely replaced, wall tile partly replaced, progress shown at intervals along the way. Another November 2025 customer had a tub converted to a walk-in shower with a built-in seat and shelves, and said the quote and the timeframe were both spot on. A March 2025 reviewer wrote about a 2020 version of that same conversion — tub to walk-in shower with a bench and a new tile floor — and reported that five years on it still looked new. In a June 2024 review a homeowner described a tricky hardwood-to-tile transition being solved, and mentioned Joe working alongside his son. Scale varies. Some jobs are a kitchen backsplash or a bathroom floor replacement; others are considerably bigger. One November 2025 customer had a bathroom, a utility room and three bedrooms remodelled at a house on Long Beach in Rockport, and said he was on the job every day. A May 2026 reviewer credits him with pulling in other trades to put a house back together after a flood. Two things are worth knowing before you call. Nearly all of this comes from Google alone, so there is no second platform to check it against. And a slice of it reads like trade contacts rather than customers — a March 2026 reviewer describes work done for their clients, another says only that they have known him for over five years, and ten more short entries all share a single collection date in August 2024. The detailed accounts are the ones to weigh, and there are plenty of them. For tile, shower waterproofing and tub-to-shower conversions, this is a small owner-run outfit with a long and consistent trail. If your job is a full multi-trade renovation rather than tile work, ask what he does himself and who he brings in — several customers describe exactly that arrangement, and it is worth settling up front.
We were so impressed with the kitchen tiling “art like” job Joe did we asked him to add tiling to another bathroom .Recently we had him return to do yet another “tile project” : PERFECT YET AGAIN “. The best ever!!
Joe has done multiple jobs for us. He is an artist and talented tile installer. He responds immediately. Highly recommend Joe.
Joe is an incredible tile artisan. His work is so perfect it's hard to believe your eyes! And he's a great project manager with a design eye. Helped me with multiple projects outside of tile and brought in the right contractors to get our house repaired and better than ever after a flood. Could not recommend him more!
Joe did a fantastic job on our backsplash. He is responsive, professional, and a quality craftsman. I highly recommend him.
Joe has done exquisite work for my clients. Beyond his knowledge and expertise, he is a warm and kind guy who will go above and beyond to make sure the client is happy. I highly recommend him.
