Mass Bay Movers runs out of Peabody, and by the Better Business Bureau's account it has been moving households since 2015 — an LLC with eleven years on the books and three Massachusetts addresses. The BBB grades the company A+, though it has never sought BBB accreditation, and that letter is calculated without customer reviews feeding into it. What neighbors say pulls the other way. On a Salem-area Reddit thread, both people who brought the company up did so unfavorably — one recounting a move that went badly, the other pointing elsewhere on price. Those comments are over a year old now, so read them as history rather than a verdict on today's crews, but they are the only unsolicited local word-of-mouth anyone has posted. The BBB page adds one complaint worth naming: among the reviews it excerpts, a customer alleges the crew damaged a framed artwork and papered over it instead of reporting it. The other two excerpts are positive, and the same page lists no government actions. A plausible call for a straightforward local move — the Peabody base and the eleven-year run are real — but go in with the damage question settled. Ask how claims are handled and who pays, get the answer in writing before loading day, and take a competing quote alongside it.
