Two dozen homeowners have rated Jeff Albert's inspections since 2019, and the spread is unusually flat: 94% five stars, the remainder four, nothing lower. Maximum Inspection Services works out of 3 Pearson Street in Haverhill and does one thing — complete home inspections for people buying or selling condos, townhouses and single- or multi-family houses. Albert owns and runs it himself, and the company puts his experience at 17 years, which means the person you book is the person who shows up. What clients keep returning to on its Angi page is thoroughness and the detail of the written report. That is a meaningful pattern for an inspector: the report is the product, and it is what you hand back to a seller when you want a credit or a repair. Two things to sort out before booking. The inspection fees quoted in those reviews land roughly between $375 and $550, but they stretch back several years, so get the current number for your square footage and any add-on tests in writing. And the Angi and HomeAdvisor pages show the same 36 ratings, not two independent sets — the newest of them dates to 2025, so ask for a couple of references from this year rather than reading the star average as current. A sensible pick for a buyer who wants one experienced inspector walking the house with them and a report detailed enough to negotiate from. Ask to see a sample report, confirm his Massachusetts home inspector licence number and the turnaround time, and be clear about which tests are included in the quoted fee.

Jeff was great. He was right on time, spent 2 hours checking the property, which involved 14 +ft ceiling beams that he checked with his ladder in multiple areas. He was kind enough to call a friend who lived in the building and have him come and tell us his experiences there. I would highly recommend him!

Jeff was awesome. The house we are buying was in excellent overall condition. Jeff did an incredibly thorough inspection that I attended. His inspection report was comprehensive and identified a number of electrical hazards, potential plumbing hazards, and minor concerning items that I was able to bring up with the Seller. I got all of the hazards fixed and got some Seller credits for items like small areas of rotten siding and roofing that was at the end of its useful life. Jeff helped answer my questions after he completed the inspection report. We also ordered a radon and water test and Jeff got those results back to us promptly. Overall, I highly recommend working with Jeff for your home inspection -- his services are well worth the money, and he's a pleasure to work with. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff was great! He walked us through all the complexities of his inspection, explaining as he went. He showed us some of the major operations of the house we were purchasing and recommended maintenance schedules, etc. It was comforting to have such an expert guiding us through the process. I would definitely recommend Jeff to any friend or family member who is nervous about the home their looking to buy.
