A broken spring on a two-car garage door opener is the kind of call McCabe's Garage Door takes: one recent customer said Dwayne came out the same day, swapped out the broken parts and had them fully working in a couple of hours. The company holds 4.6 stars from 11 Google ratings, says it has been in business 15 years, and lists Boston and Hudson as its service area. One customer called on a Monday about a door that stopped working over the weekend. Dwayne came the next day, took care of the broken door, checked the others, did routine maintenance and helped reprogram an opener that had been causing issues. A customer who turned to Duane McCabe after someone else did a shoddy job said he took the time to assess, shared options and fixed the door. Mr. McCabe made repairs on one customer's old door shortly after they bought their house and told them it could get a few more years of life. Years later, when it was finally time for a new door, the same customer said he helped move a dead treadmill and a few other broken things. One customer said someone always answers the telephone and he shows up on time, sometimes earlier. A recent customer called his price very high, said the work was ok and wrote that neighbors had their door repaired by someone else for half the price.
Hire Mc Cabe for a repair on my garage door. Was NOT impressed with him. His price is very high! Work is ok, seen better. Talked with neighbors and they got their door repaired at half the price that I got. They used someone else to do the work. Bottom line is to shop around.
Shortly after we bought our house, our garage door needed some help. I thought we’d need to replace it, but we’d JUST bought the place and moved. Mr. McCabe made some repairs and told me my old door could get a few more years of life. Here I am a number of years later and it was finally time. My garage was a MESS because I’d been taking care of my Dad while he was dying, and just collected, well, a mess! He went ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me move a dead treadmill and a few other broken things, and did a magnificent job. The new door is GLORIOUS!
Duane is great! He knows garage doors and is the expert that I needed when someone else did a shoddy job. He took the time to assess, shared options, and fixed the door for me. I highly recommend Duane McCabe.
Dwayne was amazing! Our garage door stopped working over the weekend and we called on Monday with a non-urgent request to help us get it fixed. Dwayne came the next day, took care of the broken door and checked all the others. He made common sense recommendations of what to fix and what to watch and also did routine maintenance to help make sure we would be in good shape moving forward. He told us what we needed to do and even made product recommendations and helped us reprogram an opener that had been causing us issues. I trust him implicitly. He did great work and had our best interests in mind. Would recommend without hesitation.
Someone always answers the telephone. Making an appointment is painless. He shows up on time and sometimes earlier. He can tell right away what the problem is. I’ve used him several times and will continue to use him.
