Storm cleanup and large-tree removals near houses feature in customers’ accounts of McClure’s Tree Service in Keene. A July 2026 reviewer described a pine striking their roof during the June 18 microburst in Swanzey. They said Joey assessed the damage the next day, the fallen tree and debris were cleared within a week, and the crew returned a couple of weeks later to remove three standing trees. The company advertises 24/7 emergency service and free estimates, with a stated service area covering Keene and many surrounding Cheshire County towns. Customers describe crane work in confined spaces. In a June 2025 Angi review, a customer detailed seven tree removals with a crane fitted into a tight driveway, including lifting cut sections over a garage and house before chipping branches and clearing the site. A March 2023 reviewer described sick ash trees removed by crane and bucket truck, along with pruning a large oak. A June 2025 commenter in r/keene also recommended the company after tree removal and trimming. Responsiveness appears in a November 2025 account with a precise sequence: after a 3:45 p.m. call on November 3 about a tree caught above a house, Rodney arrived by 4:15 p.m. and repositioned it away from the house. He returned with another worker at 8:13 the following morning to remove it. A May 2026 customer in Fitzwilliam said McClure’s followed through on a reasonably priced ash-tree removal after difficulty getting other companies to commit. Complaints need to sit alongside that praise. A March 2026 reviewer alleged that Joseph and the business took a large sum of money and did not pay it back. In July 2025, another reviewer reported two appointments missed without a call. A June 2022 reviewer described repeated delays over weeks, poor cleanup and being sworn at after complaining. Google lists 4.7 stars from 40 ratings; Angi lists 5 stars from three.

Got trees?? My highest recommendation goes to McClure’s Tree Service out of Keene NH. A large mature pine struck my roof during the 6/18/26 weather micro burst that erupted and sweep through the Swanzey NH area. Everyone in my orbit recommended McClure’s for both their expertise and fair pricing. Joey, the owner, was out the very next day to assess the damage. The man knows trees; he explained the growth susceptibility of pines forking and where the vulnerabilities were in my wooded area in particular. He was more than fair in price for the downed tree and debris, in addition to the removal of 3 additional standing trees. These were all big boys. Within a week, the fallen tree, limbs, and branch debris were removed. What a crew Joey has. They were efficient, thorough, and CLEARED the area! One of my biggest beefs with skilled tradesmen is they do not work clean or clean up well– as a whole. Not the case with these guys. WOWZAA! They also prepped an opening for a crane to get through that day. A couple weeks later, Joey’s crew cut down the remaining standing trees, chipped the tops, and put the large trunk pieces in a nice stack pile at the edge of my property for pickup. The exterior and interior damage to my house is presumed to take until the end of fall for completion. Honestly, it is the clearing of those trees in such a timely manner that gives me piece of mind and the patience to wait it out. I didn’t get everyone’s name but a special THANKS to Joey… as well as Jesse, Rodney, and Amber.
Not my hire but they came to pickup a neighbor's fallen tree limb by accessing my property. They only had 12' to put the trailer with the claw grabber. These guys are magicians. They were gone in an hour and left the yard cleaner than they found it.
Today we had McClure's Tree Service out at our house in Fitzwilliam to drop a massive ash tree. I started reaching out to tree companies in 2024, and some said they’d come look and never did. One or two gave us a price but never returned our calls or texts to put us on the schedule. A couple went ghost after I requested an insurance certificate, and one came in and quoted it like it was a crane job (for his price, I’ll drop the darn tree myself). McClure's came out on Monday, quoted it reasonably, and dropped the tree today without issue. Simple and professional. You can advertise on social media, in local papers, or have your friends shout your name from the rooftops, but at the end of the day, good service matters more than anything. They showed up, did exactly what they said they would, and handled the job safely and professionally. I highly recommend them!
Professional in all ways! Did just what I asked, didn't make a mess and were super friendly and nice! And did I say it was a reasonable price…
McClure's team was great. They arrived on time, reviewed the scope of work with me and worked quickly and efficiently.
