McConkey Construction is a Tamworth company that says it has been in business for 25 years. Its website describes expertise in excavation and site work with over 1,000 septic designs and installs, and its Houzz profile describes it as family owned and operated with residential and commercial experience, including obtaining town and environmental permits on a customer's behalf. In a 2020 review, a homeowner who had bought a house in December said Mark was quick to get on his schedule to start a new septic system installation before the weather put them out, and that he came back in better weather to finish the job by treating the grass. That 2020 customer said Mark was very honest and helped answer all of their questions. In a 2022 review, a customer who had known Mark for many years said he helped their clients and customers through Shoreland permitting, septic designs, town permits, and septic inspections and installs. A separate 2022 review said the team did its work in a timely fashion at exceptionally fair prices. The business has a B- grade from the Better Business Bureau, with 1 complaint on file there.
