Thomson Tree Service & Excavation

Thomson Tree Service & Excavation takes down big trees in tight spots. Its website lists tree removal, trimming and pruning, stump grinding, land clearing, emergency storm clean up and excavation, and the company says it has been in business 29 years. In a 2024 review, a customer had a 95 foot double pine taken down. That 2024 customer said they parked the John Deere with its bucket covering a post lantern beside the tree, and nothing came close to hitting it. A 2025 customer said two guys removed two big pines and trimmed a third without a crane or a chipper, gathering the debris in a pile that a logging truck loaded. A 2025 customer with an emergency at a summer home in Moultonborough said they called at 4:50pm, Micah was sent to give an estimate, and the work was done the next day. A 2025 customer who needed about a dozen trees taken down, including one large ash in the power lines, said the job was done with two feet of snow on the ground. The Town of Bradford wrote in 2023 that it was pleased with tree work in its town cemeteries, a job that needed extra care. In a 2024 review, a customer said Stacy came to assess five trees and quote them, most came down the first day, and on the second day they had to leave for emergency jobs after a tornado, coming back three days later for the final clean up. A 2023 customer said five very tall white pines came down at their house, with the equipment sometimes on a neighbor's property, and the stumps were ground too.
